How many autumns have passed? Photo 1 is now, photo 2 is from 2017. Still me — still wearing hats like armour, still chasing the éphémère in Paris. Learning to live with less noise, to savour the silence between things. Some days I miss home. Some days, I find pieces of it in a stranger’s kindness or in the way the Seine catches light. Life is fleeting. But some moments stay suspended, luminous. For me, this is one of them. I still remember our first day on set in August 2024 — carrying a story we hoped would speak where words fall short. Today, that story has found its way to the Singapore International Film Festival @sgiffest  The short film starring Darren, 悦娟, Elvis, and myself, written and directed by the extraordinary @qiyuwu , and produced by @mikerrlee (thank you for your mafia magic), has been shortlisted and will premiere under the Singapore Panorama section. This film is about returning — to the people, the places, and the parts of ourselves we have never truly left behind. I hope something in #Cendol will resonate with you, as deeply as it did for me. But this year, under Singapore’s brightest lights, I brought that Parisian soul back with me — wrapped in @schiaparelli , lifted by @rogervivier . Leaving behind Paris’ ‘block-everything’ strikes and arriving at Château de Saran felt like stepping into an exclusive paradise. Wonderfully hosted by the dazzling duo @ec24m and @terrorkks , and welcomed so warmly by the incredible team led by the amazing Maria Rodikova, who turned every moment into a memory. Surrounded by rolling hills of vineyards, we sipped vintage champagne from the best years and was spoiled by the creations of star chef @marco.fadiga . But beyond the champagne and the feasts, it was the starlit nights that stayed with me — where I made new friends, shared laughter, and found the rest I didn’t know how much I needed after two hectic months in Singapore. To the family at Château de Saran — thank you for giving me not just hospitality, but healing. Paris can keep its chaos. The River Remembers is a tribute to Singapore’s 60th year of independence — and a reminder that to move forward, we must first understand where we come from. I tried to post this recap reel… but every time I watched it, I choked up. The emotions were unexpected, overwhelming — and real. This return to the Star Awards stage wasn’t just about glamour. It was a reunion with the people who shaped me — friends, mentors who touched my life in ways both big and small. And among them… was Mr Mun Shu Sum. The very man who offered 19-year-old me a contract with Mediacorp. He was there that night — and just like that, I was reminded of how it all began. And Chen Shucheng 大哥, my very first co-host/mentor — the one who patiently guided me through terrifying live shows when I barely knew which camera to look at. Some #reunions are loud. Others are quiet, but hit you right in the heart. This night was a mosaic of those moments — hugs that meant more than words, glances that held memories, and tears I didn’t expect to fall backstage in full lashes and couture. Wearing @chaumetofficial ‘s High Jewellery, I carried not only centuries of French artistry, but also personal symbolism. I had the immense privilege of wearing pieces from not one, but two iconic Chaumet collections — each carrying its own meaning, each echoing a different part of me. Pieces that speak not of status, but of soul. The Joséphine collection, regal and graceful, reminded me to lead with poise. The Bee de Chaumet, with its brilliant hexagon diamonds, reflected light, connection, and the power of belonging — perfect for a night that celebrates community and return. Wearing a red gown by @andrewgn , a Singaporean maestro who built his legacy in Paris and grew it onto the global stage, held deep personal meaning. Wearing Andrew’s creation was a tribute to our shared roots and the bold journey of building a life far from home, yet never without it. And then, to step into a second dress by the Parisian maison I’ve long admired, @schiaparelli , was pure theatre.
