繊細かつ適切に下処理がされたお刺身のような美術館だった。 小骨などないし、臭みもなく、身の捌き方が丁度良い。 大きすぎてもダメだし、小さすぎてもダメ。すべてのものに理由がある。そんな感じ。 これくらいが良い/これくらいで良い の織りなす一見シンプルな造りの連続に深い思考を感じられた。 無駄なオーバースペックさがないし、雑な部分もない。 この丁度良さは圧倒的なリサーチと使い手への想像力と、設計者の建築家としての経験値が生きている。 そもそもここは従来の美術館のイメージとは違う。 地域に開かれたもので、使われる美術館といった感じ。 八戸はデコトラ発祥の地でもあり、トラックをそれぞれの所有者がデコレーションしていったように、市民や使い手が「解像度の高い誤読」ができるように、あらゆるきっかけが計画されていた。 良かった。 But the dividing line has been there for a long time. The divider that was made transparent and invisible is also the difference in values, prejudices, and assumptions between you and me. These partitions can protect us from ourselves, but they can also hurt someone else without us knowing it. In Japan these days, there is not a day that goes by that I don't see acrylic partitions. But I wonder who the partition is for, I simply love the material because I can play with the reflection and transparency of the different angles. I think that a society without “partitions” is impossible. If there is no difference in anything, there will be no joy. This partition that I designed is a manifestation of values. By using colored acrylic panels, I wanted to show the wistful but certain difference in the way people think. This is why people need dialogue and imagination.
