Because of that, her studio’s always open and ‘MAYA’s Open Studio’ has become a photography showcase everyone can join. You can stop by when you go jogging in the evening or you can even bring your infant kids with you. Maya believes work is in the process, so you can touch everything in the studio and talk about anything with Maya. ‘MAYA’s Open Studio’ is a living art piece where visitors are a part of the story. Akashika Maya ช่างภาพประจำโอซาก้ารวมถึงยังเป็นอาจารย์สอนที่ Visual Arts College Osaka มายะมองว่าผลงานของเธอที่แท้จริงคือโปรเซสในการทำงานและคนต่างๆ ได้เข้ามามีปฏิสัมพันธ์กับงานของเธอ “ในความคิดฉันฉันอยากทำให้ศิลปะมันสนุก และเข้าถึงกับคนได้” มายะอธิบายให้ฟังถึงรูปแบบการทำงานของเธอ สำหรับ MAYA’s Open Studio ก็เป็นหนึ่งในงานที่มายะให้ใครก็ได้ที่เดินผ่านไปมาเข้ามาหยิบงานของเธอ หรือจัดวางได้ตามใจชอบ และเธอจะนั่งเล่าถึงที่มาที่ไปของภาพหรือช่วยกันสร้างเรื่องราวไปพร้อมๆ กันกับผู้มาเยี่ยมชม

Maya Akashika: Dokidoki Telepathy “Whether it is a made-up fantasy portrait or a snapshot in an East Asian city, each image does not end in a conventional story. In my photographic journey, the “good photo” has to have a “sparking joy” as if I am touching “something new” for the first time.
