This latest release marks his first new print in nearly two years, with three more scheduled for release in the spring of 2025. Eguchi is now widely recognized as a master of bijinga (portraits of beautiful women) and continues to be in high demand, holding solo exhibitions at numerous art museums. In recent years, artworks featuring manga- and illustration-style City Pop girls have moved beyond trend status to become a staple in the art scene. However, while it may seem redundant to point it out, Eguchi is one of the original pioneers of this style.
