An atomic bomb was dropped on our city of Hiroshima. Earlier this year I took my son to the A-bomb dome. To educate him on what happened. The terror of war. The long lasting deathly effects of a nuclear bomb. We also visited Miyajima, a beautiful island nearby to enjoy our hot spring & food, animals, architecture & other cultures. I am Japanese. I come from the only country that has survived the terror of nuclear bombings. I live with the intention of spreading love, to heal the generational trauma, to befriend all nations, to teach my son to never support anyone leading us into war. Kamikaze to me means — fear nothing. The word means “divine wind” and for me, it means DO GOOD and fear nothing. Japan lost a war. I, a Japanese raised after the war do not believe in winning battles. I believe in peace. I believe in healing. I believe in self respect. Respect for others. Freedom. Truth. Fearlessness. My hope is that my people heal from the deep shame. My hope is that our past enemies heal from the deep shame.
