We held YOU BALANCE, a simultaneous multi-genre music event🎉 As part of the performing arts festival: Autumn Meteorite Tokyo 2025, the event was held over two days at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre! Directed by a sound engineer Toshihiko Kasai, the program featured around 20 diverse artists, including singer-songwriters, traditional Japanese instrumentalists, and stand-up performers. Tokyo City Canvas by “Nihonbashi Symphonia” Mitsuki Naka #TokyoCityCanvas “Nihonbashi Symphonia ー響きあう多声的な都市像ー” ナカミツキ Since its establishment in 1603, Nihonbashi has served as the starting point of Edo Five Routes. Along the Nihonbashi River, a large-scale redevelopment project is now underway, aiming to create a new “waterfront city” that will become a new symbol of Tokyo as an international metropolis. The redevelopment area known as Nihonbashi River Walk is vividly enhanced by the construction site art project created by artist Mitsuki Naka. Incorporating motifs of the kirin and lion statues that symbolize Nihonbashi, the artwork expresses the aesthetic sensibility that has been passed down to the present day and prayer for continuous development through contemporary colors and rhythm. Along Yaesu Sakura Street, stretching from Tokyo Station’s Yaesu North Gate toward Nihonbashi, stands a construction site art project produced by 108 ART PROJECT and created by WOK22. Titled “Time goes on”, the artwork features cherry blossoms that inspired the street’s name, along with clouds reminiscent of ukiyo-e, Japan’s traditional woodblock prints. According to 108 ART PROJECT, the piece was inspired by local residents who wished to see the cherry trees felled during construction represented through art and hoped for something bright, pop, and enjoyable for everyone passing by. Inspired by these voices and sentiments from the local community, WOK22 sought to portray “everyone’s cherished cherry blossoms” and to bring a sense of liveliness and joy to passersby. #TokyoCityCanvas “CHALLENGED DESIGN project” #ConstructionFenceArtSeries Turning construction fences into a space for co-creation and community expression. At the former Haneda Asahi Elementary School site (Haneda Asahicho, Ota-ku), the temporary fencing is now covered with artwork co-created by MISAWA HOMES CO., LTD., CROSS TEAM, local children, and their families. The design, blended 81 original drawings sparked by children’s free imagination and local scenes like Anamori Inari Shrine and the Haneda Shrine Annual Festival, brings warmth and color to the neighborhood. It shares the theme: “Connecting with the community, expanding into the future.” Structured around three parts, Living, Gathering, and Creating, the work embodies the hope of connecting people with the community and realizing a society where no one is left behind.
