The V-shaped tail is designed to sink easily into powder which naturally lifts the nose of the board, allowing the rider to glide through powder snow in a natural stance without putting excessive pressure on the back foot. This distinctive shape also plays a significant role at the end of each turn. The way the tail smoothly releases from the snow enables quick and rhythmic edge-to-edge transitions, resulting in smooth, effortless turns and beautifully arcing sprays. On groomed slopes, the performance changes dramatically. When turning, one side of the tail flexes to maintain edge hold all the way through the turn, providing a strong sense of drive and acceleration out of the carve. While based on the Fish Tail concept, we also offer a variety of tail designs that further refine and explore the riding experience.
