The photo shoot is over and the test drive is over, so we're all set. shooting by @steeldog_photo XV1000の名付けとストーリー「perseus」（ペルセウス）今回の作品のベース車両に選んだのはXV1000。後にヤマハビラーゴ、そのVツインエンジンを積んだ姿から和製ハーレーや和製アメリカンと呼ばれることになる。ハーレーの45度に対し75度のレイアウトを持つＳＯＨＣユニットで当時のメーカーのこだわりを感じる。海外アーティストビルダーの手がけるベース車としては割とポピュラーなXV750と違い、1981年の1世代のみの生産となった希少な1000ccモデルを選定。 1世代のみの生産…当時の時代に呑まれるような不遇の車種とも言える。当該作品のカスタムポイントは流線形のアルミタンクに合わせたパーツ選定及び、まるで蛇のような複雑なワンオフマフラー、強度をしっかりと確保しながらデザイン性を持たせた片持ちスイングアーム。それらをまとめた時に放つ輝きをスタイリッシュに仕上げた。ペルセウスの名を冠したこの作品は、ギリシャ神話の最高神ゼウス直系の息子であり、英雄ペルセウスからなる。彼は不遇な生い立ちにも関わらずヘルメスやアテナから授けられた武器を身に纏い、怪物メデューサを退治。さらにはそのメデューサさえも武器として使い英雄として後世にも語りつがれた。私たち（zon）の技術やセンスを詰め込んだ和製アメリカンは数々の武器（ワンオフパーツ）を身に纏い、どのような輝きを放つのか、ライオネスに続き2台目の私たちらしい本格派カフェレーサー車両として堂々と見た方からの評価を受けたいという想いを持って制作した。制作途中は独特のフレーム形状からカタチにするまでの過程と結果において、ハーレーを手掛けてきた私たちだからこそ作れたと満足している。

Dieses Mal ausgehend von einer BMW K 1600 GTL, von der letztlich nur der Antriebsstrang übrig geblieben ist: der Reihensechszylinder-Motor mitsamt Kardan-Einarmschwinge. Gitterrohrrahmen aus Stahl und Karosserie aus Aluminium sind Eigenbau-Teile, ebenso die 6-in-2-Abgasanlage mit kaum Schalldämpfung. Im klassischen Café-Racer-Stil rollt die “Lioness” auf Drahtspeichenrädern, adaptiert von einer BMW R nineT. Preisangaben liegen zu diesem Unikat nicht vor. This time, he started with a BMW K 1600 GTL, though only the drivetrain remained in the end: the inline-six engine along with the shaft-driven single-sided swingarm. The steel trellis frame and aluminum bodywork are custom-built, as is the barely silenced 6-in-2 exhaust system.
