A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us last night at 06S @ WOMB. We made some bold changes, moving the DJ booth a bit further back from the center and setting up a stage for the audience, transforming the layout of the floor. As a result, from the booth, the crowd looked like a mesmerizing amphitheater, creating a fresh and captivating view. We’re thrilled about the future of the new 06S as it continues to evolve. Thank you to everyone who attended Jupiter @ fai Aoyama last Saturday. We are now entering our 11th year, and it is amazing to see that both the DJs and the audience have transformed into a new generation community, primarily in their 20s. It makes me even happier to see people much younger than myself taking the reins for the future of the scene. It was our second time playing together with @assign_jpn ,whom I’ve known since he was 20, and it was heartwarming to see him perform his debut set at Jupiter. Despite being on a weeknight, with each event, the direction of the party has become clearer, attracting guests from all over the world. Thank you very much to everyone who attended the 06S 23rd anniversary party @womb_tokyo . It was an incredibly emotional and unforgettable night in my 28-year DJ career. Before the party, I didn't feel the weight of responsibility, but looking back after it ended, I realized there was a certain amount of pressure. However, I'm currently basking in a sense of achievement and fatigue, still enjoying the lingering euphoria. This anniversary was special because I got to perform with the admired MC GQ. I wanted to bring a unique expression of drum and bass that only I could deliver, but being a DJ, my tool was manipulating sound, so I dedicated extra time to crafting my set for this occasion. The result was a powerful chemistry that left me overwhelmed. The culmination of 23 years of 06S history, along with the fulfillment of a longtime dream to perform with MC GQ @emceegq ,created memories that are truly irreplaceable. I am determined to use this experience as fuel to strive even harder as we head towards the 24th anniversary. Shortly after entering the 21st century, our team made the bold decision to host a hot drum'n'bass party at WOMB in Tokyo. Starting out was good, but back in the early 2000s, drum'n'bass wasn't as recognized as it is now, and it was challenging to attract a crowd. Honestly, I thought we might not even last a year. However, as friends started inviting friends, the circle gradually expanded, and the community grew. With generational shifts and constant renewal, we grew to become WOMB's longest-running resident party. Now, 06S is celebrating its 23rd birthday. If it were a child, it would be an adult by now. I'm grateful that we've come this far, and the continuity and growth are all thanks to each and every person who has been involved with 06S over its long history. I sincerely thank everyone who has supported 06S. To commemorate our 23rd anniversary on 4th May,we have a special guest flying in from overseas: UK drum'n'bass legend, MC GQ! Let's celebrate 06S's anniversary in grand style with a collaboration that DJ AKi has longed for! 21世紀に突入後間も無く、東京で熱いドラムンベースのパーティーを WOMBでやって行くぞ！と当時のチームで決断した。でも開始したは良いけど、ゼロ年代初頭は今とは違ってドラムンベースの認知度も低く中々お客さんも集まらなくて、これは1年も継続出来ないかもと正直思っていた。しかしドラムンベースの魅力がゆっくりと電波し、友達が友達を誘って遊びに来てくれる様になると輪が徐々に広がりコミュニティが拡大し世代交代や新陳代謝を繰り返しながらWOMB最長レジデントパーティーとして成長していった。そんな 06Sが23年目のお誕生日を迎える。子供だったらすっかり社会人。良くここまで育ってくれたし、紆余曲折しながらも継続出来たのは、ひとえにこの長い歴史上、様々な形で関わってくれた1人、1人のお陰で、今まで06Sをサポートしてくれた全ての方々に心から感謝致します。今回5月4日に開催する 06S 23周年を記念して来日する海外からの刺客は、UKドラムンベース界のレジェンド、MC GQが登場!!
