A month of watching the Olympics, of Valentine’s Day and Cat Day, yet somehow my camera roll filled up with knitting and my cats. I’ve started to read knitting charts, learned a few Aran patterns, and knitting has become endlessly joyful 🪻🪻 The other day I made kasube no nitsuke, a winter staple here. My husband said it was his first time ever trying it— and when I looked it up, I discovered it’s actually a Hokkaido dish!? 🪻 I had no idea 🪻 The winters in Hokkaido that once felt unbearably long don’t seem quite so endless these days. Perhaps it’s the way time feels as we grow older, or perhaps the season that once looked only stark white now reveals so many subtle scenes and small pleasures. Maybe I’ve simply learned how to wait more gently 🪻 Of course, just when I say something poetic like that, the snow comes crashing down again— “Hurry up, spring!!” —that’s a Hokkaido winter for you. Homemade oden (twice already!), ginger-spiked miso sauce, karashi and sake — pure heaven.🍢 Knitting to Dragon Ash, m-flo and Sugar Soul, plants growing happily indoors, and quietly enjoying subtle seasonal kimono pairings. As for kimono combinations: 🍢 A bean-throwing obi with a kanoko-shibori komon 🍢 A takara-zukushi obi with a shibori-dyed komon 🍢 A Seven Lucky Gods obi with a wave-patterned komon 🍢 A chirimen obi with a tsumugi featuring camellias and butterflies Even my tea ceremony teacher noticed — embarrassing, but so delightful. どこかに38（歳）とさんちゃんむんちゃんの 月が太陽を入れてほしいとお願いさせてもろて👭🏻❤︎ むんちゃまからご提案いただいた中から夢二のこの2枚が 今年 日舞で初舞台を踏んだ自分と おいもに似た猫と本、とろちゃんが居ないのも含めて ヌックでおいもと読書している日頃の自分と重なり 2025年のわたしのOnとOffがぎゅっとしたようで こちらに🐈❤︎ 細やかに好みや趣向を聞ききながら進めてくれる むんちゃんだったけど メイドインむんちゃまな一点が欲しかったので むんちゃんの感性にほぼほぼお任せ さすがのセンスで仕上がったバッグに 箱を開けた瞬間トキメキだだ漏れるう🧚🏻♀️ 届いた次の日にお稽古に持っていったのですが やはり目を惹くようで、 先生がめちゃくちゃ絶賛してくださいました👏🏻🌝 むんちゃま、ありがとう❤︎ もうめちゃくちゃお気に入り！
