  • 最近、アニメの地獄楽や戦隊シリーズでも使われていたそうで、話題になった天心流兵法 転柄血振い（てんかちぶるい）。 一般に血振り（ちぶり）と呼ばれ、納刀前に血を払う所作です。 ただ血を払い落とすだけでなく、手の内の稽古の意味も含まれます。 またこれだけで血を払うのは十分ではなく、本式にはこの後にさらに布や革、紙などで拭います。 しかしこの血振い（ちぶるい）はちらかというと血穢（けつえ）を払う意味が強いといえます。 何か手に触れたら、手を払いたくなります。 犬猫もいやな感触を得ると手足震わせて払おうとしますから、根源的にはとても本能的な振る舞いに起因すると思われます。

A sufficient distance must always be maintained, yet this point is often underestimated. Of course, accidents such as actually stepping on a sword are rare. However, even if it is your own sword, and all the more so if it belongs to someone else, a lack of consideration is unacceptable. Maintaining an awareness of distance from the sword also reduces the risk of absentmindedly lingering nearby in conversation and accidentally stepping on it.
