After landing at Kansai Airport, I dropped by the pottery festival at Kishiwada Castle, where my staff happened to be exhibiting. The sudden shift from Manhattan’s skyscrapers to such a deeply Japanese setting was quite something! I’m not sure where to begin… First and foremost, to everyone I met in New York—thank you so much. Thanks to you, I was able to have a truly fulfilling experience. There were several moments when I thought, “This is why I came to New York—to see this, to meet this person!” And I believe I have the ability to turn those encounters into something meaningful, to weave them into a story.
