神奈川県・菊名の高台に立つ木造シェアハウスを改修して自らの住まいとすることにした設計事務所アトリエコの小林佐絵子さんと塩崎太伸さん。改修する前にまず移り住み、日々暮らしながら少しずつ、環境の調査や建物の解体を進めていきました。 建物の解体を進めるなか、床下の地面を調べていたときのこと。 なんと、そこが約15,000年前（縄文時代初期）の貝塚の跡地であることが判明しました。遠い昔、同じ地で、採取してきた貝を食し生きていた人々の生活に思いを馳せずにはいられない、貴重な環境です。
