14年前の第25回大会も本市で開催され、その時に大鉋(おおかんな)削りの実演で使用された木材が、長いベンチとして「表丹沢野外活動センター」にあります。 技術を競い合う大会だけでなく、里山まつり（10日のみ開催）をはじめ、親子木工教室、はだのふるさと大使（春風亭一左さん、LUNA SEA真矢さん）による催しなど様々なイベントが同時開催❣️ 子どもから大人まで楽しめるイベントになっています😊
