(The Importance of Using Light Objects in Training) In the Hammerobics exercise, when using heavier objects like a two hammers (each 7.26 kg, lenght 50cm), the potential energy generated by free fall (around 71.22 joules) two plastic balls (each 100g, lenght 50cm) generate much less potential energy (around 0.98 joules). This demonstrates that heavier weights naturally assist the movement through the gravitational pull, while lighter weights demand more active muscle engagement for movement control. In the history of training for throwing sports or bat swings in baseball, discussions have often centered around the relationship between weight and training effectiveness. With heavier objects, the principle of free fall means that less muscle activity is needed to move the object, while lighter objects require more muscle effort as they don’t move on their own, leading to a greater sense of exertion. Additionally, heavier weights utilize involuntary muscle contraction during movement, where muscles are engaged without conscious effort, assisted by gravity and momentum. In contrast, lighter weights require more voluntary muscle contraction, where muscles must actively engage to control and reverse the movement. Therefore, it cannot be said that heavier weights always lead to greater training effectiveness, as lighter weights can demand more focused muscle engagement. During a meal with martial arts master Akira Hino, he lifted a table napkin and said, "You must be able to feel this weight." This profound lesson emphasizes that, in both sports and martial arts, no matter how much we train, if we cannot sense the weight of light objects, we will rely solely on brute force. In this study, we examined how muscle activation can be achieved with lighter loads in Hammerobics exercise. The results showed that when comparing a task involving swinging extremely light objects(plastic and bamboo total 360g) with an isometric squat(60kg) under heavy loads, muscle activation was identical. Additionally, in Hammerobics with heavy loads (60kg), the activity of the tibialis anterior, rectus femoris, biceps femoris, internal oblique, and abductor hallucis was comparable even with a light weight (plastic and bamboo) in the swing task. Reason muscle activation did not change, we state that: based on the principle that a certain weight facilitates easier reversal of movement due to the natural fall of gravity (falling on its own), while lighter weights require more energy for this reversal. After conducting the KA screening, we monitored the runners for six months, up to Japan's most famous ekiden event, the Hakone Ekiden. Out of 47 runners studied, 21.3% sustained injuries, and those with KA scores below 46.5 had a 2.59 times higher risk of running related injury. This self-screening test is a valuable tool for injury prevention. Based on this joint declaration, we will collaborate with sports-related organizations and pharmaceutical and medical-related organizations to address this public health issue and enhance the life performance of the public. Previously, our focus was on anti-doping measures for top athletes, but now we aim to contribute more broadly to society by expanding our anti-doping philosophy. Issues such as overdoses, health damages, and fatalities caused by improper use of pharmaceuticals are significant concerns. Protecting a healthy environment for young people is also a crucial aspect. Recently, cases of contamination in supplements have increased, and there is a need to raise awareness.
