【ひろしま国際建築祭2025 LOG 企画概要】 Architecture Voice from LOG ｜「建築の声」を聞く今年から開催される「ひろしま国際建築祭」は、地域の“名建築”を未来に残すことをミッションとして掲げ、建築文化を発信するための祭典です。 LOGの建築にみられる細かなディティールや素材、そこで聞こえる音や色、影など…LOGの建築は季節や時間帯によって、多様な表情をみせます。本展示では参加者がそれらを集音器やLOGカラーのオリジナルクレヨンなどを使って記録用紙に残し、建築家で『スタジオ・ムンバイ』代表のビジョイ・ジェインさんがLOGをつくる際に大事にしたこと、それを具現化したLOGのスタッフの思いを追体験するような展示を開催します。【UMA/design farmプロフィール】 2007年、原田祐馬により設立。大阪を拠点に文化や福祉、地域に関わるプロジェクトを中心に、グラフィック、空間、展覧会や企画開発などを通して、理念を可視化し、新しい体験をつくりだすことを目指している。「ともに考え、ともにつくる」を大切に、対話と実験を繰り返すサスティナブルなデザインを実践。現在のメンバーは、原田祐馬、山副佳祐、西野亮介、津田祐果、平川かな江、高橋めぐみ、大隅葉月、白川温未の8人。受賞歴はグッドデザイン賞2016・金賞、日本サインデザイン賞最優秀賞、日本タイポグラフィ年鑑ベストワーク、CSデザイン賞準グランプリなど。 photo by @yumaharada <LOG’s Exhibition details> Architecture Voice from LOG ｜Listen to the “Voice from Architecture” “Hiroshima Architecture Exhibition,” which starts from this year, is an exhibition to introduce the architectural culture for our mission to inherit the beautiful architectures of our region to the future. During this period, we’ll be holding participatory exhibitions together with UMA/design farm, where the participants can enjoy LOG with their five senses. Depending on the seasons and time of day, LOG’s architecture, including the subtle details, different materials, the sound you hear, and the color and shadow of it etc., shows different faces. Through this exhibition we hope that the participants will perceive what Bijoy Jain, a director of Studio Mumbai, cherished designing LOG, and also how the LOG staffs were feeling in the process of materializing his vision. UMA/design farm / profile Established by Yuma Harada in 2007. Based in Osaka, they’re involved with projects related to culture, welfare and local community aiming at creating new experience by visualizing their philosophy through graphic, space, exhibition and planning & development. Following his first solo show in 2023, this second exhibition features approximately 150 everyday ceramic pieces created using cloisonné enamel techniques, all available for viewing and purchase. In addition, a new sound installation titled “echoes” will be presented. Exhibition Dates: June 7 (Sat) – June 29 (Sun), 13:00–17:00 Location: LOG, Onomichi Artist in attendance: June 7 (Sat) and 8 (Sun) From June 7–8, the exhibition will be held on the 2nd floor of LOG, then moved to the 1st floor shop from June 9 onward. Installation: “echoes” Dates: June 7 (Sat) – June 29 (Sun) Venue: LOG Open Space This work is inspired by crucibles used in making enamel glaze, which typically last only 1–2 weeks before being discarded. Observing these worn crucibles lined up outdoors inspired the artist to create this sound installation, which recreates the ambient sounds of his work environment. You Hirose @hiroseyou Born in 1990 and a graduate of Tama Art University. After working with Meiwa Denki, he began creating ceramic pieces using cloisonné techniques in 2018.
