I joined a 2hrs meditation session and cried more than I expected. It was emotional, comforting, and a reminder that when we don’t process stress, grief, fear, and trauma, they often stay stored in our bodies. The first few months of this year were challenging. In January, my dad was involved in an accident, and I was terrified of losing him when I got the call. In February, my dog almost died. I cared for him at home, giving him IVs and watching him have good days and bad days. I found myself grieving the possibility of losing him before he was even gone. March, I was also grieving a future that may or may not happen after finding out that my egg reserve which it was already low before, had dropped to half in just six months. The fear, pressure, and uncertainty became overwhelming and I felt forced by the doctors to do the egg freezing procedure without even processing mentally. I kept going, but somewhere along the way I lost connection with myself. I was scared and feeling so alone. I couldn’t really give myself the chance to fully process any of it. April became a month of slowing down. I read books, spent time in nature a lot alone, cooked healthy meals, and enjoyed simple moments with my niece. Slowly, I started feeling like myself again. But some emotions were still there, waiting to be felt.That’s why this meditation felt so powerful. As women, our bodies and emotions are deeply influenced by our hormones, menstrual cycle, and sense of safety. We can be incredibly sensitive, and that’s why taking care of our minds, bodies, and hearts is so important. If life feels heavy right now, I hope you can find comfort in the small moments. Before the sun was even up, the beach was already full of life. Older people walking quietly by the sea. Women dancing together. Some sitting alone watching the sky slowly change colors. Others simply moving their bodies before the city wakes up. There was something so beautiful about it. No performance. Just realness. And it made me think about how much of life we spend distracted by the outside world. Watching people, chasing beauty, Convenience, “Dreams.” While there’s an entire world living inside of us. We live in a world where convenience comes first, but growth rarely comes from comfort. Sometimes it comes from uncertainty, discomfort, slowing down, getting lost, and learning how to be present through it all. And this is what I found in Vietnam. Sometimes we chase fantasies, blinded by superficial beauty, trying so hard to create a perfect life that doesn’t even feel real anymore. But here, I found a different kind of beauty. Calm and chaotic at the same time. Raw & honest like me. Just like life really is. Being here reminded me that the most beautiful things in life are often the simplest ones. The warmth of a smile and the sun. Finding beauty even in imperfect things. Feeling connected with nature and yourself. Allowing yourself to feel every emotion without running away from it. Maybe that’s what being alive really means. To be present in the moment. Because life is like the sunrise and sunset. It rises. It sets. And before we realize it, the moment has already passed. We still have so much to learn. I think that’s why I’ve always loved nature and animals so much. They feel so pure, peaceful, and loving. And ever since I was little, I’ve always wanted a duck. There’s just something about the way they walk, swim, and their funny little personalities that makes me so happy. So I traveled all the way to Hoi An for this experience, and honestly, it made me happier than I expected. The staff was so kind, the atmosphere was peaceful, and for a moment, it felt like reconnecting with a part of myself I missed. This kinda smallest things makes me so happy. Lately, I've been doing yoga and other activities that allow me to move my body slowly. I'm almost always alone, and I love the moments when I look up at the sea and the sky. I’m 37 and I feel like in this past 10 years my body has changed so much. Not only the body but my skin has spots , melasma , the texture is different. Woman’s body changes daily and it has its own phases. I look back in the past and I used to work out like crazy and do crazy diets. Nowadays I think more about my mind , hormones and health instead. Cuz in the long run , that’s what matters. Whenever I travel I dress up differently and wear what I want. There’s something about beach life that helps you wanna be simply yourself. And natural. It's only about a 30-minute drive from Da Nang. I love the calm and quiet atmosphere. If you're going, I recommend going first thing in the morning or at sunset! You should definitely check it out! My body's feeling better, so this time, instead of just stretching, I focused on my lower body and added a bit more depth than before. I also discovered a new favorite movement. I feel like I lived so much. I spent time with my family, my niece, and my cousin and his family. Also many moments alone, barefoot, sunbathing, laying on the grass, appreciating simple things. A lot of reading. A lot of walking, day and night. Sunrises and sunsets. Stretching, grounding, meditating. Studying , working , inner work, less phone, more quiet time, sitting with myself. Listening to gospel, cooking every day. No sugar. Taking care of my body. Since February and March, my body&mind felt like they were literally crying for help, I was a sinking boat ,scared, wanted to be held, feel safe ,I really struggled with lot of stress,egg freezing,Chuey illness. April became a time of returning to myself. My old habits, hobbies and alone quality time. A couple weeks ago I had an endoscopy and was diagnosed with GERD. It started with throat discomfort in March , and in April it got worse, feeling like I couldn’t breathe like I was being choked. I’ve been doing tests, trying to understand my body and take better care of myself. Now I’m slowly healing, with patience and love. A lot has changed, and will continue to change. I’m gonna prepare for my 2nd egg freezing process calmly next time. I might move soon, everything will change. Sometimes in life things change in the blink of an eye. All I know is that I’m blessed. To be here, to have my family, Chuey&friends. I see beauty in the smallest things. Nature and warmth make me happy. Life has its ups and downs, but I choose to stay soft, kind, and open. Everything comes to make you better, if you’re willing to learn, let it transform you and grow. In the morning, choosing my favorite tea and taking the time to enjoy it. Making breakfast, going for a walk, getting closer to nature quietly. Somehow it makes the start of the day feel a little different. Yesterday, I spent time with my niece, really being present with her. Looking into her eyes, asking about what she likes these days,what she wants to do next time , simply watching and admiring her being her, and being curious to get to know her even more . And in those simple moments, I felt really connected to her and grateful for her existence. When life gets busy, it’s easy to put yourself last. I forgot how much I missed these scents. I don’t always mention it, but I actually have my certificates in aromatherapy and phytotherapy. I did egg freezing recently and honestly my body reacted in ways I didn’t expect. I lost weight, my nails got really weak and broke so I went to gel nail to fix it temporary , and I even noticed many white hair for couple of days. I think it was the stress and hormones. When you finally start to calm down, you realize how stuck you were. I couldn’t even really look at myself or notice that I needed to take care of myself. I usually have my routines, but stress really takes you out of it. Now I’m just trying to come back to myself, eat better, and slow down. My stomach is still a bit puffy and hurts sometimes. I’m not sure if it’s normal, so I’m going to see a doctor this week. This made me want to understand my hormones better. Cuz that’s something we will deal through out for life. I had a light knowledge about it and now I see its way more deeper and only by understanding it, I can show up kinder to myself and learn how to support it. Apparently, melasma can get darker or lighter not only from sun exposure but also from hormonal imbalances. I've been getting a lot of acne on my chin lately, which is also related to a hormonal imbalance, so I need to slowly work on fixing it. At @sbeautyclinic, I had Revlite treatment for my blemishes and melasma, and since I haven't been able to exercise much lately, I also had Celltone treatment for cellulite, which has increased.
