今回展示している写真を撮ったときの旅は、久しぶりに何の目的も、テーマもない、課題も何も無い、ただただ純粋にふらふらと思うがままに旅したものでした。 展示写真は、そのなかで出会った瞬間をひとつひとつ何も考えずに撮ったものばかりで、だからなのだろうと思うけれども、写真的な写真ではなく、より自然な心の流れの結果としての写真になっていると思います。 なので、ある人には、もしかしたら物足りない内容かもしれませんが、私にとっては、とても素直で正直な写真に思えます。 技術や、自己顕示欲、または他者の視点を想定した上での撮影行為。そんなものはどこかへ捨て置いたうえでの、写真を撮るという行為の純粋性が、ここにはあるのではと感じています。 しばらくすると、地平線の彼方がほのかに明るくなり始めた。 はじめは薄紫色に、次に淡い桃色に。 昼でも夜でもない、あわいの時間は長く続いた。 それはまるで、私を含め、多くの人が経験した辛くて長い、曖昧な日々のようであった。 飛行機がやがて目的地に到着すると、朝陽が差し込んできた。 その光の美しさ。 そのときの光の輝きを忘れられない。 その輝きは心の奥底まで届き、気がつけば、涙を流していた。
