1933年、創業者アンドレアス・オマーンが父の家具工房の隣に自らの工房を立ち上げたことから始まったOmann Jun。 ローズウッドやチークなど上質な木材を用い、素材の美しさを最大限に引き出す仕上げと、精度の高い家具づくりにこだわり続けてきました。 現在もデンマーク国内の工房で、三代目によってその伝統が受け継がれています。 棚板ごとに小さな電球が3つ仕込まれており、ディスプレイするものを柔らかく照らし出す構造になっています。 お気に入りの器やガラス、オブジェなどを並べれば、光と影が調和し、見せる収納を楽しむことができます。 なお、電球は一灯ずつON/OFFができるようになっています。 フレーム四隅の仕口には斜めにカットされた木目がぴたりと揃えられ、職人の丁寧な手仕事が感じられるポイントです。 こちらは1980〜1990年代ごろ、デンマークの家具メーカーHG Møbler（HG Furniture）から生まれたヴィンテージキャビネット。 手がけたのは、モダンデンマーク家具の黄金期を支えたデザイナーデュオ、Rud Thygesen/ルド・チューエセンとJohnny Sørensen/ジョニー・ソーレンセンです。 もともとはユニットシステムの一部として設計されたシリーズで、シャルフや他のキャビネットと上下左右に組み合わせられるよう、奥行きや幅が統一されています。 単体でも整ったプロポーションを保ちつつ、並べて使えば空間に統一感をもたらしてくれる設計です。 素材には、ビーチ材（ブナ材）を使用。 赤みのあるブラウンに塗装された仕上げは、一見するとチークと見紛うような深みがあり、落ち着いた空間づくりにぴったり。 扉にあしらわれた縦ラインの意匠が、控えめながらもほどよいリズムを与えてくれます。 脚部はオリジナルではないものと思われますが、丸く削り出されたフォルムが全体の直線的なデザインにやわらかさを加え、脚元に空間があることで圧迫感を抑えた佇まいに。 お掃除のしやすさという実用面でも嬉しい仕様です。 時代や住まいのスタイルが変わっても、ずっと使い続けたくなる、頼もしさを持ったキャビネット。 1点目はおそらく1960〜1970年代に国内で製造されたヴィンテージのコーヒーテーブル。 シンプルなフレームに、厚みのあるガラス天板を組み合わせた構造で、下段にはスリット状の棚が備わっています。 全体のバランスがとても良く、直線と丸脚の組み合わせが絶妙。 角ばりすぎず、かといって丸すぎない、どこか北欧的なニュアンスも感じさせるデザインです。 前後左右どこから見ても抜け感があるオープン構造は、圧迫感がなく、狭い空間でもすっと馴染みます。 ソファサイドに置いて、ドリンクやリモコン、読みかけの本の定位置に。 窓際や玄関で、グリーンや雑貨のディスプレイ台として。 ガラス天板なので日光を遮らず、植物とも相性が良いです。 ひとり暮らしのローテーブルとしても◎ 懐かしさと実用性がちょうどいいバランスで共存する、日本のヴィンテージらしい一台。 2点目は、1965〜1988年までロイヤルコペンハーゲンに在籍していたデザイナーEllen Malmer/エレン・マルマーによってデザインされた小さなボウル。 “バッカ”とは”輪”という意味があり、バッカシリーズのバックスタンプは輪の中にデザイナーのサインがデザインされています。 パッと目をひくイエローが印象的で、ブルーやブラウンといった落ち着いた色味が多いBacaには珍しいカラーです。 小さなお椀のようなシンプルで丸みのあるフォルム。 しっかりと厚みのある作りは、手のひらの中に収まってしまうほどのサイズ感ながら、重厚な味わいを感じさせます。 白い縁の上を揺蕩うような、ブラックの自由なライン。 その筆使いには、少し和の雰囲気も感じさせるような趣があります。 縁には2箇所の凹みが設けられているため、こちらはもともとはアッシュトレイとしてデザインされたものと思われます。
