I wrote a song using sounds from field recordings I made back in January in Okayama Prefecture. It was a place with a truly sacred atmosphere, and the sound of the snow was beautiful. Today, it’s snowing in Tokyo—a rare occurrence here—and the general election was held on this freezing day. The LDP, led by Prime Minister Takaichi, won a landslide victory. The public is all worked up, clamoring for a "strong leader" and "aggressive fiscal policy." Meanwhile, the crowd that preached centrism and reform has vanished like bubbles. I don’t look for "correct answers" in politics. I just want to drift in the space between the libertarian grace of "leave me alone" and the minimum liberal compassion of "don't cast aside the weak." But looking at these results, it seems the world is seeking the security of livestock: "Tie us up tighter, just make sure you feed us." Whether politics swings right or left, I must never surrender my solitude or my creative expression to anyone. Stepping quietly back from the vortex of frenzy, I will simply continue to create my music and my art. 1月に岡山県の野外録音で収録した音を使って曲を作った。そこはまさに神聖な雰囲気の場所で、雪の音は美しかった。今日は東京で雪が降っている——ここでは珍しいことだ——そしてこの凍えるような日に総選挙が行われた。高市首相率いる自民党が圧勝した。世の中は「強いリーダー」だの「積極財政」だのと、鼻息が荒い。一方で、中道だの改革だのを掲げていた連中は、泡のように消えてしまった。僕は政治に「正解」なんて求めていない。リバタリアン的な「ほっといてくれ」という潔さと、リベラル的な「弱い奴を切り捨てるな」という最低限の情の、そのあわいに漂っていたいだけだ。だが、今回の結果を見ると、どうも世の中は「もっと縛ってくれ、その代わり飯を食わせてくれ」という、家畜のような安心を求めているように見える。政治が右に振ろうと左に振ろうと、僕は決して孤独や創造的表現を誰にも譲ってはならない。狂乱の渦から静かに身を引いて、ただひたすらに音楽と芸術を作り続けるだけだ。 #ableton #soundart #fieldrecording #ambient

Lasers are emitted when the sampler triggers the drum part, and the laser waveform changes according to the sensitivity with which the performer strikes the sampler pads. From SIDE CORE exhibition, PRESEN TATION - VOL.0 <JP> リアルタイムで音楽の周波数成分を解析して映像として上から下に流れる音声信号を可視化。サンプラーでドラムパートをトリガーするタイミングでレーザーが照射され、演奏者がサンプラーのパッドを叩く感度に応じてレーザーの波形が変化する作品。 @side_core_tokyo PRESEN TATION - VOL.0 より dir. @dada_kotaro パフォーマンス中に @chaosjp @p_ont_p がスモークマシンの調整をしてくれたおかげでレーザーの線形がよく見えます。感謝🤝🖤
