毎年初夏に枝打ちされ廃棄される柳を、「銀座もとじ」が全国の作家や産地へと届けて草木染めの材料に……そんな銀座の柳染は今年で30年を迎えました。 「柳からこんな濃い地色が生まれるなんて驚きました。この紬は、渋い色なのに不思議と気持ちが高揚します」と常盤さん。柳にカテキュー、渋木などの植物を加えた濃淡の渋茶と、銀座の柳を宿した黄色が、奥行きのある格子を織り成します。 〜第三十三文 通年・春の文様「桜」～ 美しく、細緻なきものの文様は、そのルーツを知るとより一層愛おしくなります。 こちらInstagram企画【知っておきたいきものの文様👘】では、その季節に合ったきものの文様そしてそのルーツをご紹介します。 みなさまお花見はお楽しみになられましたか🌸 本日ご紹介するのは、「桜」の文様。 本投稿でも、「お花見」をお楽しみください😌 桜 さくら 桜は日本の代表的な花ですが、観賞されるようになったのは平安時代です。貴族たちはそれまでの梅に加えて桜を愛でるようになり、文学や美術にも登場します。当時の桜は山桜で、文様もそれを意匠化したものですが、次第に八重桜や枝垂れ桜など種類が増え、江戸時代には桜川や桜楓（おうふう）、花筏（はないかだ）などの組み合わせ文様も。奈良の吉野山や京都の嵐山など、桜の名所が文様化されることもあります。 pic1：枝垂れ桜 しだれざくら たおやかな枝が垂れ下がる枝垂れ桜を文様化したもので、散りゆく桜の花びらとともに描かれます。こうした風情のある文様は、能装束や小袖にも見られます。写実的なものから、意匠化されて一筋の枝に花を配しただけのものも。枝垂れ桜は桜文様のバリエーションが増えた桃山時代以降に生まれた文様のひとつです。 pic2：桜文 さくらもん 桜花文（おうかもん）ともいいます。さくらの「さ」は稲、「くら」は神が宿る座を意味し、豊作を願って花見の宴を催し、桜文様が描かれるという説があります。桜は春の花ですが、写実的に描かれたものを除き、文様化された桜は季節を問わず身につけることができます。 pic3：八重桜 やえざくら
