Sac-JAPONの商品を多数展開予定。会期初日となる4月12日(土)・13日(日)にはワークショップの開催もございます。 —– 青森ヒバとは日本固有の樹木で、木曽ヒノキ・秋田スギと共に日本三大美林に数えられ、香木とも言われる香りが強い木です。また、抗菌力が高く水に濡れても腐りにくいため、神社仏閣にも使われる木材です。そんな青森ヒバの特性を活かしたプロダクトを発信するブランド＜Cul de 鈴木マサル「CERAMIC ART EXHIBITION -平面と立体の境界-」展のお知らせ 2025年1月9日（木）から2月24日（月）まで、鈴木マサル「CERAMIC ART EXHIBITION -平面と立体の境界-」展をSTUDIO 894 ギャラリーで開催します。 本展は、テキスタイルデザインを主軸に活動する鈴木マサルを迎え、新作となる2023年から進めてきた瀬戸焼の立体物とタイルの作品を中心に、これまでに制作した作品とともに展示します。 独特の感性で生み出される、シンプルでありながらも温かみがあり、日常の中にさりげなく溶け込む美しさを持つ作品たち。今回新たに発表する立体作品は、リバーシブルで飾ることのできる可愛らしい招き猫です。表面は右手上げ、裏面では左手上げとなる招き猫は、各面に異なるメッセージやパターンを施すことにより、違った印象をもたらします。また、呉須により色彩のバランスを絶妙に調整した瀬戸焼のタイルは、大きなサイズから小さいサイズまで1点ものの作品 全14点を初公開します。 日々の暮らしに彩りを加え、その美しさを感じることができる作品を通し、鈴木マサルが描き出す平面と立体の境界を是非ご覧ください。 ■アーティストコメント いつもはテキスタイルデザイナーとして模様を描き、色を付けるという事を仕事としていますが、もう少しフィジカルな制作、表現をしたいという思いは常に持っていました。そういった経緯から妻がセラミックアーティストということもあり、彼女に教えてもらいながら時間を見つけては陶で動物を作陶し、自身の展示に合わせて発表したりしていました。作陶の作業は手痕が濃く残るプリミティブなもので、デジタルを介する普段の仕事とは共通点はあれども、体感的には随分異なる魅力的なものでした。今回、瀬戸の中外陶園さんより瀬戸焼の招き猫をデザインするお話をいただき、それに伴って自作のセラミック作品の展示を行うことになりました。裏表のない招き猫のプロダクト製品「wellcat」と共に、招き猫の立体原型や平面のタイルに直接装飾を描き、デジタルではなく窯を介したセラミック作品を多数展示、販売します。タイルは小さなものから壁画をイメージした大きな物まで、多数展開予定です。平面から立体、量産プロダクトから手痕が濃く残る作品群を是非ご高覧ください。
