かの真田源次郎信繁、往昔、真田と上杉の盟約により、証人として春日山に留まりし。景勝、兼続の下、武士の道を学び、義を胸に深く刻みたると伝ふ。このたび、幾年の時を経て、春日山の地に帰参せり。往時を偲び、義を語らふその姿、まこと、我が胸に深く沁み入るものなり。 The one known as Sanada Genjirō Nobushige, in times past, remained at Kasugayama Castle as a hostage under the alliance between Sanada and Uesugi. Under the guidance of myself, Kagekatsu, and Kanetsugu, he studied the way of the warrior and is said to have engraved the spirit of righteousness deep within his heart. Now, after the passage of many years, he has returned to the land of Kasugayama. Beholding his figure as he recalls those bygone days and speaks once more of righteousness, truly, it stirs my heart deeply — I, Kagekatsu, say this with utmost feeling.
