It was a tremendous privilege to photograph 60 of the greatest athletes in the world at this unique moment as they look ahead to the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Their collective spirit, confidence, gratitude, and professionalism was so affirming to see and I know that they will inspire millions on their journeys. Having participated in these pre-Games shoots as an athlete, I brought that perspective and experience to the way I approached my work. These are some of my favorite images that I captured during the week. I’m so grateful for the support and trust that was extended to me by the USOPC. Working with people who believe in athletes and the power of the Olympic and Paralympic Movements was incredibly energizing. Suited up in @giorgioarmani, keeping time with @omega, and celebrating with @unclenearest. 🥃 Make sure to see his latest work — Jeffrey stars and shines as Thelonious “Monk” Ellison in, “American Fiction.” @americanfictionmovie is both a hilarious satire and moving family drama directed by Cord Jefferson. I saw the film the other night and absolutely loved it. It will receive a limited theatrical release in the U.S. on December 15 and will expand wider on December 22. I’ve been testing this camera for the past month and have packed it in my bag on trips to NYC, Singapore, Seattle, and Switzerland. 🌎 My early thoughts? It’s awesome. The Sofort 2 is a hybrid instant film camera that packs so many amazing new features - a digital screen, 10 lenses, landscape and macro modes… the list goes on and on. There’s also internal memory as well as a microSD card slot, USB-C, a built-in optional flash, and a manual lever that you pull to begin printing. Not only can you select the images you want to print, but you can also print photos taken with other Leica cameras through the FOTOS app. For those who are lens-focused, the Sofort 2 has a 28mm-equivalent lens with a f/2 to f/16 variable aperture, a 10cm minimum focus, and auto exposure control 🙌 (which makes such a big difference in terms of making sure your prints have the correct brightness). The Sofort 2 releases globally on November 9th. Congratulations to @kehuyquan, @ericnam, @lizwathuti, @ayushmannk, and @zainabsalbi on their awards and recognition for their advocacy and impact. Special shout-out to Eric who cheered us on at the 2018 Olympics in PyeongChang. It was awesome to be there to clap very loudly (but appropriately so) for him. It was also my first time attending an F1 race and I feel so fortunate to have seen the sport live on the Marina Bay Street Circuit - I was absolutely blown away by the spectacle. After meeting @zbrownceo earlier in the week, I was also happy to see @mclaren come away with a podium finish. Congrats to all of the drivers and teams.
