Look 23 – Mermaid Bride Dress – Bride of the Sea 女の子がきっと一度はあこがれる、 ウェディングドレス。 それを童話の中の“人魚”をイメージして仕立てた、 チュールとレースのホワイトドレスです。 「闇の女王」で使った生地の 色違いの立体的な薔薇モチーフを用い、 純粋な真っ白ではなく、ほんのり温かみを感じる アイボリーを取り入れました。 長い物語の終わりに、光へと包まれていくような、 静かで清らかなラストシーンを描きます。 このドレスの裾をどう仕上げるか、 半年近く悩みました。 裾までバラの立体チュールで統一するか、 それとも違う表情を持たせるか——。 レースをふわりと広げる構成にすることで、 ようやくこのドレスが完成しました。 ---- A wedding dress—something every little girl dreams of at least once. This white tulle and lace piece is inspired by a mermaid who longs for love in a fairytale world. It features three-dimensional rose motifs, the same fabric used in “Dark Rose Queen” but in a softer, ivory tone to express warmth and quiet purity rather than pure white. As the long story comes to an end, she is gently wrapped in light— a calm and serene final scene of transformation. The design of the hem took nearly half a year of thought. At first, I considered finishing it entirely with 3D roses, but it felt too simple. Look 16 – Liberty Organza Dress 自由と純粋さを象徴する、 繊細なオーガンジードレスです。 細やかなゴールドのドットが光を受けてきらめきます。 このドレスは、ドラクロワの絵画 『民衆を導く自由の女神』に着想を得ていますが、 子どもの無垢な心を通して見た “やさしい自由”を表現しました。 ちなみに、15着目で 「一気に大人度が上がる」と書きましたが、 このルックでは少し“揺り戻し”を加えています。 強さを身につけたあとに、 もう一度純粋さに立ち返るような一着です。 この生地も本当に縫いづらかった！ ゴールドのドットがとにかく固く、 それを取り外して縫うことができず… なんとか針を進めても折れたり、 引っかかったりと大苦戦でした💦 しかもこのオーガンジー、 ちょっとしたことで破れやすい生地でもあって、 「チョイスを間違えたかも…」と思う瞬間も。 でもやっぱり！ ゴールドのオーガンジーにゴールドのドットって、 見ているだけで心が躍るんです。 だからこそ、どうしても服に使いたかった一枚です ---- A delicate organza dress symbolizing freedom and innocence. Adorned with shimmering gold dots, it captures the soft light beautifully. Inspired by Delacroix’s Liberty Leading the People, this look reinterprets “liberty” through a child’s pure heart — not the fierce kind of freedom, but a gentle, personal one. After Look 15’s mature tone, this piece brings a gentle rebound — a return to purity after finding strength. The making of this dress was a real challenge! The fabric’s golden dots were so hard that removing them before sewing was impossible, and the rolled-hem finish kept catching needles and breaking threads. To make matters worse, the organza was delicate and tore easily… there were definitely moments I thought, “maybe this fabric wasn’t the best idea.” But still — gold organza with gold dots is just too magical to resist.
