遊牧民の伝統を継承する織り手が織った “テーブルランナー＆テーブルセンター” サイズのキリムは、とても希少！！！ 特にキリム幅が20〜30cmの細いキリムに、美しいアブラッシュ（色のグラデーションと糸の太さの変化）が織り込まれたモノなど、まさに『奇跡的！』 遊牧民の文化の中で、“テーブルランナー＆テーブルセンター” のような極小サイズのキリムを織る文化は、かつて無かったように思えます。 故に、そのような小さくて細いサイズを織り手にお願いして、織っていただくことは、本当に至難の業です。 それは、糸を紡ぎ、草木で染め、機（はた）に経糸を張り、緯糸を入れて、織りあがったキリムを機から切り落とす。そののちに、さらに出来上がった歪みのある細長いキリムを整形する。 要するに、出来上がる面積に対して、非常に手間のかかる面倒な作業なのです。 ◉ 遊牧民の絨毯について！ ロゴバは、中近東 特にトルコで織られた手織りのテキスタイル “キリム” を取り扱う専門店です。 そのロゴバが、この度、およそ20-30年前に収集したコレクション "遊牧民の絨毯” を、ロゴバの運営する『キリム屋さん.com』の『 2024-2025 ROGOBA Happy ♡ Winter Campaign 』を支援するために、順次出品することにいたしました。 元来、"遊牧民の絨毯” は、遊牧民が織るキリムと同様、上質なモノほど織り手のアドリブ（センス）が活かされ、それが織りに現れ、とてもユニークで貴重なモノになります。今回出品する “ロゴバ コレクション” の絨毯も、遊牧民の伝統が途絶えつつある現在では、とても希少性の高いモノと言えます。 ところで、"遊牧民の絨毯” の中では、イラン・カシュガイ族が織る “ギャッベ（GABBEH）” が日本で有名ですが、ロゴバはその存在が日本でほとんど知られていなかった頃に、国立民族学博物館 教授で、イスラム文化・絨毯研究の第一人者であった杉村棟先生のご紹介を得て、〈ゾランヴァリ〉ファミリーと出会うことができました。そして、彼らの好意で、当時織られた “ギャッベ” の中から私たちが上質と思えるモノを選ばせていただき、それらを “ロゴバ コレクション” の中に加えました。 ※ "遊牧民の絨毯” 等についてのより詳しい説明は、『キリム屋さん.com』内の〈ABOUT（関連知識） → 遊牧民の絨毯について〉をご覧ください！ 一方、あまり知られてはいませんが、トルコでも "遊牧民の絨毯” はあります。 それらは “トゥル（TULU）” と呼ばれていますが、トルコでは土地の所有権の問題が20世紀初頭に起こったため、遊牧すること自体がトルコでは困難となり、かなり早い時期に “トゥル” を織る必要性がなくなって、"遊牧民の絨毯” の文化は消えてゆきました。 つまり、本来の意味でのトルコの "遊牧民の絨毯” “トゥル” は、現在では織られておらず、過去のモノとなってしましました。 しかしながら 1995-2005年ごろ、一部の遊牧民の子孫が、“トゥル” を復活させたいとの思いから、昔の草木染めされた素朴な手紡ぎウールを用いた絨毯を織るプロジェクトをトルコ西部のバルケシル地方で起こします。 そのプロジェクトで生まれた絨毯を、私たちは "モダン・トゥル（Modern TULU）”と呼んでいますが、 当時、ロゴバはこの活動に現地で出会い、その想いを支持し、全面的に協力いたしました。
