This book was created based on the lyrics written by Tanikawa for Ikuko Harada’s song, “HERE AND NOW” which emerged from the planetarium program, “Colors of the Dark” screened at The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan). The project for a “book” kicked off when Harada visited Kawauchi’s photographic exhibition, “M/E: On this sphere Endlessly interlinking” when creating the music. In this photographic picture book “HERE AND NOW” composed by Kawauchi herself so that the words and images respond to each other, its art director, Hideyuki Saito’s design leads the flow of the pages with each word encompassing a rhythm. As a fundamental poem, “HERE AND NOW” allows us to question one’s own existence, while also leaving room for a broad understanding of the piece. 久保田珠美さんのことは共通の友人を介して長年話を伺っていましたが、実際に会えたのは数年前、TRAXで彼女の個展を開催しているときでした。 それからはずっと以前からそうしてきたような自然さで、家族ぐるみの付き合いが始まりました。 一緒に何度も旅をして、お互いに少し似ていて少し違っているところを毎回発見しています。 今回、わたしたちの出会った場所TRAXで、これまでわたしたちの見てきたものをお互いカードを出し合うように構成できたらと思いました。 どのような空間になるのか自分も楽しみです。 川内倫子 ここ数年、あらゆる生命体（ミクロからマクロまで）との共生共存の再解釈をテーマに制作しています。わたしたち人間もこの世界を構成する分子のひとつであり、関係性を互いに内包しながら存在を主張しています。 このテーマに出会った時期に、友人家族を介してTRAXで初めて川内倫子さんにお会いし、 共通の知人やコトにご縁を感じ、家族ぐるみでのお付き合いとなりました。 その後お互いのルーツの地を訪れるのが毎年の楽しみになり、計らずも旅を通して森羅万象の神秘に触れ、生命の循環と繋がりを再認識し感動を分かち合うこととなりました。 This week we are featuring all the exhibiting artists on @ccp_australia Instagram. - @rinkokawauchi Rinko Kawauchi From the series ‘Halo’ 2017 - Rinko Kawauchi is best known for her poetic depictions of everyday life, soft palette, and carefully edited photobooks. She has release several incredibly successful photobooks. Her work has been exhibited all over the world, including at the Foundation Cartier @fondationcartier in Paris, @thephotographersgallery The Photographer’s Gallery in London, the Museo de Arte Moderna Sao Paulo, among many others. She is the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including the 27th Ihei Kimura Photography Award, the @icp International Center of Photography Infinity Award, and an Honorary Fellowship of the @royalphotographicsociety Royal Photographic Society.
