Despite the historic heavy snowfall, I am so relieved that we were able to conclude the competition safely without any injuries or accidents. ☃️❄️ This marks our second year under the slogan "Dreams for Children!" and I was deeply moved to witness the brilliant performances of athletes aiming for the world stage. Most of all, it warmed my heart to see familiar faces from last year returning to Ryugasaki. Reuniting with them in the finals and on the podium, and hearing that they worked hard with "AKIYO's DREAM" as their goal, was an irreplaceable joy for me. My dreams for the future grow as I imagine world-class athletes emerging from this very event. 🌏✨ We were also able to host a men's bouldering training camp and a public opening day after the competition, allowing even more people to enjoy the experience than last year. This boulder was first ascent by Finnish legend Nalle Hukkataival in 2009. It’s my first ever V14, and I’ve been told it’s also the FFA. Such an honor to climb this beautiful, iconic line that represents the spirit of Sipoo. On the first day, I couldn’t even figure out the moves and it felt impossible. But through frustration, try and error, and the pressure of a short trip, I found myself completely absorbed — lost in the pure joy of giving everything to one boulder. Maybe I could have done it more easily when I was competing, but I’m proud that I could still meet a challenge that pushed me past my current limits. I’m deeply thankful to all the local climbers in Finland who supported me along the way. This experience reminded me how powerful it is to keep believing — no matter the stage of life you’re in.
