タイの北部にあるチェンマイへ。そこは神聖な山と川が優しく輝いている場所で、木は人に寛容で暖かく、そんな木の漏れ日の下で瞑想の修行をしてきました。清らかな川は多くのパワーと言葉を下さり、訪れる修行者を受け入れてくれてるようでした On February 10, 2026, in Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. It is a place where sacred mountains and rivers shine gently. The trees are warm and generous to people, and beneath the soft light filtering through their leaves, I practiced meditation. The pure river seemed to offer great power and words, as if it were welcoming the practitioners who came to visit.

帰坐｜線描のミクロコスモス／マクロコスモス Returning to the Seat | Microcosm / Macrocosm in Line 小松美羽の画業は、銅版画の線描から始まりました。パウル・クレーが、芸術とは「見えるものを写す」のではなく「見えないものを見えるようにする」営みであり、線描は「魂の即興画」だと述べましたが、まさに小松作品における線描の意味と重なり合うようです。本室では、その線描表現が二つの原理をめぐって配置されています。銅版画《四十九日》《六道輪廻》は一対として、死後の時間や輪廻という語彙を借りつつ、ここでは単なる仏教的主題に回収されず、存在が循環し続ける宇宙の理法として立ち上がります。これに対して《生死》《覚死》はもう一つの対として、生命が生まれ、終わり、次へと手渡されていく――生命の原理そのものを見つめ直すように置かれています。この二つ、「存在の原理」と「生命の原理」が交錯する中心に据えられるのが、椅子作品《幼少の頃は不明確だった者たち》です。椅子は、鑑賞者一人ひとりの内面が立ち戻る場を示し、足元に敷かれた黒曜石は、三万年の時を凝結させた確かな実体として在ることで、不可視の領域と物質世界の接点を静かに際立たせます。鑑賞者はこの椅子に座ることを想像し、ミクロコスモス（個）とマクロコスモス（宇宙）が響き合う地点へ帰坐していく――線描が開く静かな瞑想の場が、ここに成立しています。 ⸻ Komatsu’s artistic path began with the line of copperplate printmaking. Paul Klee famously wrote that art does not reproduce the visible but makes visible—and described drawing as “an improvisation of the soul.” This resonates with the meaning of line in Komatsu’s work. In this room that language of line is arranged around two principles. The paired copperplate prints Until the 49th Days after Death and The Six Realms of Karmic Rebirth draw on the vocabulary of posthumous time and rebirth; yet here they are not contained within a purely Buddhist theme, but rise as a cosmic law through which existence continues to circulate. Facing them, another pair—Life and Death and Seeing Death—returns our attention to the principle of life itself: birth, ending, and the handing over into what comes next. At the intersection of these two—“the principle of existence” and “the principle of life”—is the chair work The Once-Uncertain Ones. The chair indicates a place to which each viewer’s inner self returns. The obsidian laid at the feet, as a palpable substance that condenses deep time, quietly sharpens the contact point between the invisible realm and the material world. Imagining oneself seated here, the viewer returns to the seat where microcosm (the self) and macrocosm (the universe) resonate—establishing a quiet space for meditation opened by line.

北海道立函館美術館での展覧会が先日、無事に終了いたしました。ご来場くださった皆様、本当にありがとうございました。札幌、函館と北海道を巡回する中で、エゾオオカミ、エゾシカ、シマエナガなど、この地に宿る新たな神獣たちと出会い、作品として描くことができたことは、私にとって大きな喜びであり貴重な体験となりました。また北海道で皆様とお会いできる日を、心より楽しみにしております。 Teruさんの音声ガイドも大好評だったようでとても感謝しています @glay__teru 展覧会の準備に携わってくださった美術館関係者の皆様、スタッフの皆様、そして足を運んでくださったすべての方々に、この場を借りて改めて感謝申し上げます🙏 The exhibition at the Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art in Hakodate has successfully come to a close. My sincere thanks to everyone who visited. 7月5日から札幌芸術の森美術館にて「祈り宿る」が始まります。3年前にアイヌ民族の絶滅種鎮魂祭でアイヌ語で伝わってくる祈りの形を感じた時、人間の手によって絶滅したエゾオオカミやニホンオオカミなどのスピリットを必ず描こうと決意しました。その新作がこの地で展示されています。是非、この北海道の大地で展示されているスピリットたちに会いにきていただければ幸いです🙏 —— Starting on July 5th, my solo exhibition “Sacred Nexus: Resonating with Cosmos ” will open at the Sapporo Art Park Museum. Three years ago, during a requiem ceremony for extinct species held by the Ainu people, I deeply felt the form of prayer passed down through the Ainu language. At that moment, I made a vow to depict the spirits of animals driven to extinction by human hands—such as the Ezo wolf and the Japanese wolf. Those new works are now being exhibited here on this land. I sincerely hope you will come and meet the spirits now residing in the vast earth of Hokkaido.
