コンテンツ種別写真動画複数枚｢#PR｣つき投稿 関連投稿国 指定なし 関連都道府県 指定なし 並び替え投稿日順 ライク数順 コメント数順 エンゲージメント率順WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTO × IZUMONSTER Collaboration Collection POP-UP STORE at HANKYU MEN’S TOKYO 銀座の阪急メンズ東京で開催されている、WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTOとIZUMONSTERのコラボレーションによるポップアップストアを訪問。 2001年に公開された映画『ゴジラ モスラ キングギドラ 大怪獣総攻撃』に登場するゴジラとキングギドラの新作ソフビが展示されていて、イベント訪問者は抽選先行販売に参加できる。 写真で見るより大型のソフビで、特にキングギドラは頭部のパーツ分割によって立体的なディフォルメが実現されている。羽根が小さくアレンジされているのもキングザウルス的でユニーク。とても個性的なキングギドラになっている。 Izumonsterは2010年代後半から続くアジアのソフビ・ブームのシンボル的な存在で、インディーズとヴィンテージ、トイとアート、ストリートとモードを繋げる重要なポジションに位置している。人気のために（販売価格も含めて）購入ハードルがかなり高くなったけれど、シーンのトップランナーの1人として、ブームとは関係なく行ける限りの高みを目指してほしい。次回の新作版権ソフビの予定も伺い、期待に震えた。 ポップアップは6月11日(水)〜6月17日(火)の期間、阪急メンズ東京 1階MAIN BASEにて開催中。 I visited the WILDSIDE YOHJI YAMAMOTO x IZUMONSTER collaborative pop-up store at Hankyu Men's Tokyo in Ginza. The store is showcasing new sofubi of Godzilla and King Ghidorah from the 2001 movie Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack. Visitors to the event can participate in a lottery for a sale of these figures. These sofubi are much larger than they appear in photos, especially the King Ghidorah, which features a three-dimensional, deformed design achieved through clever part separation in the head. Its uniquely small wings, reminiscent of POPY’s Kingsaurus, also add to its distinctive personality, making it a very unique rendition of King Ghidorah. Izumonster is a symbolic creator in the Asian sofubi boom that began in the late 2010s, bridging indie and vintage, toy and art, and street and high fashion. While his popularity has made his pieces quite difficult to acquire (including their price), as one of the scene's top runners, I hope he continues to push boundaries regardless of the boom. I was also thrilled to hear about his plans for upcoming licensed sofubi releases. Unlike the standard-sized version, which has a heartwarming vibe as if it's dancing at a festival, this one has a sinister expression that makes it seem like a completely different character. It possesses a powerful presence befitting its large size. Due to its striking resemblance to "Alien Icarus," a re-release is likely impossible. In contrast to its rugged, rough body sculpt, the face is meticulously crafted. The long tongue is fantastic. Coreland is known for his strong authorial perspective as an entertainer, creating a rich world that extends to the gimmicks, bonus items, and even the packaging. This piece is presented as a bonus soft vinyl figure from a fictional candy brand that would have been sold around 1980. The back of the package also features numerous other characters in addition. Furthermore, the soaring cost of soft vinyl due to the oil shock likely led to a very limited production run of this standard-sized bootleg Leo. However, children at the time loved these somewhat imperfect Sofubi. Recent creators’ Sofubi has increasingly emphasized its “art” aspects or its role as "folk art" created by artisan creators, leading to a demand for high levels of perfection. The head design is based on the bootleg Baragon sofubi made by Miura Toy in the 1970s, which gained attention last year when it was rediscovered. They are incredibly cute mini sofubi inspired by the "Tattoi Country Parent and Child Kaiju" series of soft vinyl piggy banks distributed at Credit union nationwide around 1970. Bonsain, with its bonsai motif, is likely an original design by Kotorimark. Mirumiru is based on a clay animation character that appeared in television commercials for Yakult's health drink "Mirumiru" in the late 1970s. Both figures capture the essence of the parent and child kaiju series remarkably well and would fit right in alongside the original figures from that time. The "Tattoi Country Parent and Child Kaiju" series, which secretly has many fans, still has many mysteries surrounding it, such as its distribution period and designers. I'm not sure how to play with it. Judging from the characteristics of the monsters and characters depicted, it seems it was made in the late 1960s and exported to the United States. The kaijus painted on it are Gamera, King Ghidorah, Barugon, and Jirass. The last one might be Mogunes from "The Space Giants." As you know, it's a knock-off of "Garamon," which apparently puts it in the "forbidden trio" along with Bakura (Alien Icarus knock-off) and the Fran Alien (Alien Mephilas knock-off) – meaning they supposedly can't be re-released. Thinking about that, it's surprising Tsuburaya Productions even allowed the Elecs (Eleking knock-off) to be reissued. What's charming about this Garugon, in a backwards sort of way, is that it completely lacks the endearing quality of the original Garamon.
