to be real 」という曲でした。「Got to be real 」では女性の恋が現実に向かっていく様子が描かれています。 ミクは現実の世界で起きることに憧れを抱き、インターネット上のあらゆる情報を検索し、それらをマッシュアップしながら「現実になりたい」と思うようになります。しかしながらミクは自分がただのデジタルソフトで、自分がいってしまえばデジタルの値でしかないことに気づくのです。ディスプレイの中の限られた解像度とリフレッシュレートの中でミクは自分の感情を葛藤させながらずっと「現実になりたい」と思っていたのです。 ART OF MIKU 展ではこの世界観のミクのイメージを描きながら、僕の作風にあるような、もう少しだけ大人になってスタイリッシュなミクがスマートフォンをもって自撮りをしているイメージを描きました。ぜひ会場までご覧いただければ嬉しいです。 以前渋谷の雑多な入り組んだ路地のどこかに風紀のペーストアップ（プリントが壁に貼られたもの）があった。かなりわかりずらいところにあったし、秘密の場所だったから誰も見つけられないと思っていた。それなのにフォロワーの方のインスタにそのペーストアップの写真が上がっていた。テキストを読むと、何時間なのか何日なのか、とにかく渋谷を徘徊してようやくみつけたらしい。ヒントもなにもないなか、どれだけの道を歩いたのだろうか。 自分がこの絵を描く時、googlemapを見ながら路地を曲がり風紀の絵を見つけた。その人の苦労とはとても比較にはならないけど、それでも絵を見つけてシャッターを押した時、なんとなく自分の感情がたかぶっていたことを覚えている。 シャッターが落ちる時、あの人はどんな気持ちだったのだろうか。 写真の中にはちょっとそういう感情があるんだろう。この絵にもそんな感情が入ってるんだろうな。 Continuation: When the shutter falls. Once upon a time, somewhere in the crowded alleys of Shibuya, there was a paste-up(a print pasted on a wall) of public morals . It was in a pretty obscure place, and I didn’t think anyone would find it because it was a secret place. However, a photo of that paste-up was posted on Instagram by a follower. Reading the text, I don’t know how many hours or days it was, but it seems like they wandered around Shibuya until they finally found it. I wonder how many roads he walked without any hints. When I made this painting, I turned down an alley while looking at Google Maps and found a painting of FUKI COMMITTEE. I can’t really compare to the hardships that that person went through, but I still remember feeling overwhelmed with emotion when I found the painting and shut the shutter. I wonder how that person felt when the shutter shut. I guess there’s a bit of that feeling in the photos. I guess this painting also has that feeling. 東京風紀委員会（以下風紀）に出会ったのは2022の初頭の頃だった。風紀は初期、ストリートを監視すべく現れた在波うゆが都内の電柱、看板に「ダメよ。ゼッタイ。」と記されたステッカーをサイトスペシフィックなアプローチでスラップする活動が彼らの世界観の起点となっていた。その後2022年の年末の初の個展 “ACTIVITY REPORT” にて初めて彼らの絵画作品を目にすることになった。ストリートの中に存在していた在波うゆが現実のギャラリーに現れたのは現代アートにARG（代替現実ゲーム [注 1]）的な衝動を持ち込んだように記憶している。 その後自分が企画する ART FEAR ®︎ TOKYO, ART FEAR ®︎ SEOUL, 大阪芸術祭と彼らと自分の関わりは深くなり、今回のコラボレーション展へと自然に展開していった。 本タイトルである “REMIXED BY” はまさに自分と風紀の職能的な性格の一致と共通するカルチャーが生んだタイトルだと思う。我々はシチュエーションごとにそれぞれ立場を変え、ある時は自分がアーティストとして風紀にREMIXされ、ある時は自分がアーティストである風紀をREMIXする。彼らとの制作は驚くほどシームレスに進行していくのだ。あまりにもスムーズに制作が進む中で自分はある時、自分達には共通のREMIX カルチャーの土台があったことに気づいた。1990年代後期から2000年代に隆盛をしたREMIXブームではオリジナルよりリミキサーのほうが注目を浴び、自分はそのカルチャーに強い影響を受けていた。逆に風紀の警視庁のキャッチコピーのサンプリングする皮肉に満ちた世界観は2010年代にインターネットアンダーグラウンドで生まれた VAPOR WAVE [注 2] 的な、風刺と郷愁に満ちたREMIX性を感じる。 ある意味、今自分達が向かっている挑戦とは、2020年代における、新たなREMIXの変容を表現しているのかもしれない。メインビジュアルに起用した “UYU remixed by M.Y” では東京風紀委員会の委員長在波うゆに自分のアイコニックな表現である自撮りエフェクトを追加している。背景のカモフラはこちらで描き、風紀が在波うゆをハンドペイントで描く。最後のエフェクト部分を自分がエアブラシで追加する。ローファイとハイファイが交錯し、デジタルデータとコットンのキャンバスを駆使し、互いのエッセンスとタスクをパスしながら1mm以下のディティールを精巧に仕上げていっている。本展では、これらの作品群に加え、風紀の “Re:REAL” シリーズ3点、自分の ”SELFY”シリーズ3点 トレカペインティング1点の計12点の新作を発表する。コラボを記念したグッズも完成次第リリースしていく予定だ。 展示まで10日を切り、いままさに制作を進めている最中ではあるが、自分としても本展が2024の年明けに相応しいエキサイティングなショーになるとわくわくしている。ぜひ都内に来ることがあれば、原宿 SH GALLERY 𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗙𝐄𝐀𝗥®︎ 𝗦𝗘𝗢𝗨𝗟 at @sh_gallery_seoul 12.07 (THU) – 12.29 (FRI) 11:30 – 18:30 (closed on SUN,MON) Reception 12.07(THU) 17:00 - 19:00 Artists : @makers__space @fukicommittee @buru_mori @takumu_2001 @yamagch 𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗙𝐄𝐀𝗥® 는 예술이 아카데미즘에서 시장주의 중심으로 기울어지는 가운데 아티스트의 본연의 자유로운 표현을 목적으로 2023년부터 시작된 전시입니다. 첫 번째 전시였던 𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗙𝐄𝐀𝗥® 𝗧𝗢𝗞𝗬𝗢 는 도쿄의 언더그라운드, 스트리트 아트에서 주목받고 있는 FUKI COMMITTEE, MAKERS SPACE, BURUMORI, TAKUMU 그리고 주최자인 MASATO YAMAGUCHI를 포함한 다섯 명의 멤버의 그룹전으로 개최되었습니다. 현재, 언더그라운드, 스트리트 아트는 SNS와 같은 소셜 미디어를 통해 전 세계의 도시에서 공감을 불러일으키며 동시다발적인 움직임으로 일어나고 있습니다. 이번 전시는 서울로 이동하여 SH GALLERY SEOUL에서 동일한 멤버들로 이전보다 더 큰 규모의 𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗙𝐄𝐀𝗥® 𝗦𝗘𝗢𝗨𝗟 을 개최하게 되었습니다. 이 전시를 통해 도쿄의 현재진행형의 아트 신 그리고 도쿄와 서울 간의 문화적 교류와 공감을 느낄 수 있기를 바랍니다. 𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗙𝐄𝐀𝗥® is an event that started in 2023 with the aim of allowing artists to express themselves freely at a time where ART is shifting from academia to marketism. The first 𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗙𝐄𝐀𝗥® 𝗧𝗢𝗞𝗬𝗢 was held as a five-person group show by FUKI COMMITTEE , MAKERS SPACE, Burumori, TAKUMU, and organizer himself Masato Yamaguchi, some who are attracting attention on Tokyo’s underground and streets. Currently, street and underground resonate in cities around the world through social media, and these multiple movements are occurring simultaneously. This time, we will be moving to Seoul to hold a larger scale 𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗙𝐄𝐀𝗥® 𝗦𝗘𝗢𝗨𝗟 by the same members.
