He loves running around with his friends at the park and his favourite playtime activities are fetch and tug. SPCA Inspectors arrived to investigate and found that the male cat was badly injured and soaking wet. The inspectors took the cat back to the SPCA centre, it was discovered that the cat's head and face were severely injured with multiple jaw and skull fractures. Worryingly the cat also had mutilated ears. SPCA Inspectors assisted the Police at the scene, and the police classified the case as animal cruelty. Unfortunately, the investigation has stalled due to lack of evidence and information. Anyone with information related to the case that can assist with enquiries is encouraged to call the SPCA hotline at 2711 1000. We remind everyone that pet owners must also bear responsibility for such incidents. Abandoning a cat in a trash bin or allowing such behaviour, while ignoring its injuries and suffering, is extremely irresponsible and illegal!
