No.0133 Paris 「Hôtel Dame des Arts 」パリ・ラテン区にあるホテル、Hôtel Dame des Arts。古い街並みに溶け込む建物の中で、木と石を使ったデザインが目を引きました。屋上バーからはパリの街がぐるりと見渡せて、夕暮れ時は特に忘れられない眺めです。 1枚目の写真はホテルではなく、「サマリテーヌ（Samaritaine）」という老舗デパート。営業中でしたが、お客様がいない瞬間に、スタッフの方の許可をいただいてレジカウンター内から撮らせてもらいました。ホテルの近くを少し歩くと、小さな通り、古い扉、カフェの香り——まさに“パリらしさ”があふれていました。 . Hôtel Dame des Arts in Paris’ Latin Quarter. The design caught my eye — warm wood and stone details blending beautifully into the old city streets. From the rooftop bar, you can see Paris in every direction, especially breathtaking at sunset. The first photo isn’t the hotel but La Samaritaine, a historic department store. It was open at the time, but with the staff’s permission, I was allowed to step behind the counter for a quick photo when there were no customers around. Just a short walk from the hotel leads to narrow streets, old doors, and the smell of fresh coffee — the perfect Parisian charm. . Hôtel Dame des Arts, situé dans le Quartier Latin à Paris. Le design m’a tout de suite séduit : le bois et la pierre se mêlent harmonieusement à l’architecture ancienne du quartier. Depuis le bar sur le toit, la vue panoramique sur Paris est inoubliable, surtout au coucher du soleil. La première photo ne montre pas l’hôtel, mais La Samaritaine, un grand magasin historique. Le magasin était ouvert, mais avec l’autorisation du personnel, j’ai pu entrer derrière le comptoir pour prendre cette photo pendant un moment calme. On this tiny island, there is a town and just a few hotels. Even though the rooms are small and cost around ¥30,000 per night, staying inside the island allowed me to watch sunset and sunrise from my window — memories that still stay with me. Dinner options were limited, and I had a solo French meal in the rain at Mont Saint-Michel. At night the streets were pitch-dark, like something out of a thriller film. . Île du Mont-Saint-Michel. Sur cette toute petite île se trouve un village et seulement quelques hôtels. Même si les chambres étaient modestes et coûtaient environ 30 000 ¥ par nuit, y séjourner m’a permis de contempler le coucher et le lever du soleil depuis la fenêtre — des souvenirs encore vivaces. No.0130 Japan Naoshima 「RyokanRoka」直島旅館ろ霞（ろか）は、香川県・直島に2022年4月に開業した旅館です。現代アートの聖地として知られる直島。全室がスイート仕様で、木材を基調とした落ち着いたデザインが特徴でしたが、隣室の話し声や小さな物音も聞こえるほど防音はあまり良くありませんでした。（オープン当初に訪れたので、現在は改善されているかもしれません）一番大きなROKAスイートに旅行メンバー全員で集まり、お酒を飲みながら夜遅くまで仕事をしていました。 Naoshima Ryokan Roka opened in April 2022 on Naoshima Island, Kagawa Prefecture — an island famous as a sanctuary for contemporary art. All rooms are designed as suites with a calm, wood-centered aesthetic. However, when I visited shortly after its opening, the soundproofing was not great — we could hear small noises and even conversations from the next room. (It may have been improved since then.) The suite’s living space is essentially al-fresco — a roof overhead, no walls, no windows, and deliberately no air-conditioning — allowing the sound of waves and wind to flow freely. All accommodations are built with natural materials (wood, bamboo, rattan), and the design draws on Mindanao indigenous motifs and traditional water-house structures.
