For years I kept hearing from friends and other DJs how special Draaimolen is, so I was always curious about it. Last year I was lucky enough not only to make my debut there, but also to open and close the new Moon Stage. The whole festival really was as special as everyone said, and the atmosphere at the Moon Stage was honestly something else. One of those moments that stays with you long after. A recording never fully captures how it actually felt, but I hope this brings back some memories for those who were there, and maybe gives a small glimpse of that time together, dancing under the open sky, under the moon. 🌕 Still feels emotional thinking about it. Last week I finally made it there and spent a few unforgettable days with this beautiful mezcal community. Living alongside the maestros mezcaleros and experiencing their rhythm of life, is something I will carry with me forever. I tasted more than 100 kinds of mezcal during the stay, and each one opened a new world. Was just so insanely good!!! And beyond the drinks, it was the warmth, generosity, and quiet strength of the people that stayed with me the most. Endless gratitude to Kuniyuki for joining me on this extended improvisational journey. He is one of Japan’s most extraordinary electronic musicians, and it was an absolute privilege to share such a deep, long-form set with him.
