And now that we are living in "Nakiumi," we have a body and a mind that are animated by the landscape. Just walking through the garden, where my wife's hands are as if breathing, I feel myself becoming comfortable as the plants respond to the cozy feeling of being right where they are. On the roof, May flowers look at me beautifully. My eldest daughter shows me her idea of tearing up a stalk of grass and adding wild strawberries to it as a pastry. What a beautiful impulse. The accumulation of small impressions is in the fragments of our lives. I believe that this life is the reason why I have always been able to create clothes in a relaxed manner, and the reason why I am able to create them. Whenever I think of my family and the faces of the people who are close to my garments, I am filled with gratitude. Beauty always comes from a small place. No one can see this light, but when one tries to connect with the world, something totally unskillful, unrefined, and strange comes out through one's own hands with the perfect timing. I may have left that beautiful gem of a beginner's block behind in my childhood, but only through my child can I try to know that thing deeply again. I can go see her again.
