The Japanese Nara deer is a Japanese deer, also called Nara deer or Japanese deer. It is considered sacred and designated as a natural monument. They have a light brown to reddish coat with white spots when young, which disappear as they grow older. Nara's deer are known for their friendly behavior and are often seen roaming freely in Nara Park, where visitors are welcome to feed and interact with them. These are iconic symbols of Nara and are protected by law.
