  • 宮城県加美町で開催された「グラベルクラシックやくらい @gcyakurai 」に、大会アンバサダーとして参加しました！ 来年のUCIグラベルワールドシリーズ日本開催を見据え、日本で初めてUCIグラベルレースのルールに則ったタイム計測を実施した記念すべきレースでした。 世界的に大人気のグラベルレースですが、日本ではこれまで開催されておらず、今回のイベントはUCIグラベルワールドシリーズの日本誘致に向けた大きな一歩となりました。 コースには山岳セクションが含まれ、難易度は高めですが、参加者の皆さんはフィニッシュ後に満面の笑顔で「今までにないグラベルセクションやレースの楽しさを味わえた」と口を揃えて感想を述べてくれました。 加美町のやくらい地域が誇る、収穫前の稲が広がる田園風景や雄大な自然の中を走るロケーションは、参加者にとって特別な体験となったようです。 加美町や地域企業の協力により、素晴らしい大会が実現しました。この成功を糧に、来年のUCIグラベルレース開催に向けてさらなる飛躍を目指します！ 📷: @makotoayano

  • ORBEA TERRA RACE This is a review of Orbea’s top-of-the-line gravel bike, the Terra Race.   • 第21回Mt.富士ヒルクライムが、快晴のもと盛大に開催されました。 この超級カテゴリーの山岳ヒルクライムは、まさに日本一の山にふさわしい挑戦の舞台で、約9,000人ものサイクリストが参加し、スタート前からフィニッシュ後まで熱気と活気で溢れていて、日本最大のサイクリングイベントでした。 それぞれの目標タイムのために、家庭や仕事の合間を縫ってトレーニングに励む日々の努力が、参加者同士お互いをリスペクトし合い励まし合って声を掛け合う姿に、とても心が熱くなりました。 私自身も、頑張る皆さんに声をかけながら頂上を目指しましたが、逆に多くの元気を頂けました。 また選抜男子クラスでは、新チャンピオンに石井雄悟さんが輝いたり、女子選抜では三島雅世さんが2連覇を達成していました。 上位29人が1時間を切るハイレベルな戦いが繰り広げられていて年々レベル上がっている印象です！ さらに、ブライテストホープ賞を受賞した17歳の関口煌大さんは1時間を切る好タイムで走っているので今後彼の走りにも注目したいです！ この日のために準備し、山頂まで走り抜いた皆さんにおめでとうが言いたいです！ ベストタイムを更新できた人も、目標に届かなかった人も、今日からまた来年への新たな挑戦が待っています。 最後に主催者、スポンサー、関係者、そしてボランティアの皆様、今年も素晴らしいサイクリングイベントを開催して頂きありがとうございました！ 皆さんのご尽力と情熱により、参加者一同、心から楽しめるひとときを過ごすことができました。本当にお疲れ様でした！ 来年もこのような感動的なイベントが開催されることを心より楽しみにしています。 ありがとうございました！😊 また来年、富士の頂でお会いしましょう！ 別府史之

  • 日本に帰国して初ライド！
横浜でトライアスロンの大会が開催されていたので、観戦しに行ってきた。
会場は大勢の人で賑わっていてみんなさん楽しそうでした。
ライド中は路上の情報量が多過ぎて少し疲れたけど、久しぶりに走る日本の景色はやっぱり最高だね！😊

  • I participated in local cyclosportif event @laindinoise_cyclosportive by invitation! This event was 5th edition Almost 850 people registered for the event this year. We climbed HC category Col de Grand Colombier and many climbs like @letapedutour Perfect Weather , scenery was beautiful, and the event was a lot of fun.   • 前人未到の世界選手権スプリント10連覇を達成した中野浩一氏のアルカンシェルを、ベルギーの自転車博物館「Maison du Cyclisme Liège-Bastogne-Liège」に寄贈しました。 さらに今回は「日出ずる国」をテーマに、私のツール・ド・フランス敢闘賞トロフィーやチャンピオンジャージも展示されています。 自転車文化が深く根付くヨーロッパで、日本のサイクリング文化を知っていただけることは、とても名誉なことです。 Maison du cyclisme offers a deep dive into the history of bicycles and the legacy of legendary figures, while also embracing diverse perspectives from riders, fans, collectors, Liege-Bastogne-Liege , and others involved in the sport. This time, the main theme is women’s cycling, which has been gaining significant attention in recent years. The exhibition highlights the remarkable achievements of female athletes. Additionally, under the theme of “The Land of the Rising Sun,” the museum has showcased the Arc en ciel of Koichi Nakano, who achieved an unprecedented 10 consecutive World Championship sprint titles, as well as my own National Champion jersey. I am deeply grateful to the Maison du cyclisme for its broad perspective in showcasing the allure of cycling and for its thoughtful understanding.
