We rethought the passage from the entrance to the restaurant, which had become a mere walk-through, and reconfigured it with an emphasis on heightening the anticipation and mood leading up to the meal. An alley was created between the entrance and the store, and a garden was redesigned to extend beyond the alley. We also created a counter, exhibition space, and space under the eaves facing the garden, through which customers can enter the restaurant, thereby enriching their experience from the entrance to the restaurant. Although we have not done any work inside the restaurant, we hope that when you visit Matsuno Sushi or take someone with you, you will be surprised and have a greater sense of anticipation than before.Whether you have been to Matsuno Sushi before or it is your first time, we look forward to seeing you there. 大森海岸にある鮨屋、松乃鮨のエントランスからカウンターまでのアプローチをデザインさせていただきました。 通り抜けるだけになっていた入口から店舗までの通路のあり方を見直し、食事までの期待感や気分を高めていくことを重視して構成し直しました。 入口から店舗までの間に路地を設け、その先に広がる庭を作り替えました。また庭に面した部分にカウンターや展示スペース、軒下空間などを設けそこを通り店に入る事で、お客様の入口から店舗に入るまでの体験を豊かにしています。 今回店舗内は手をつけていませんが、松乃鮨さんに伺う、誰かをお連れする際に以前以上に期待感や驚きを持っていただければ嬉しいです。行った事のある方も初めての方も是非。2025/01/24に公開大森海岸 松乃鮨 日本 東京都1.0%1022I will be participating in the exhibition "PROJECT HINOKI II," which focuses on the "past" and "future" possibilities of cypress. As the characteristics of cypress I want to express, I chose its ability to cut straight along the fibers, and the strength of the reddish-brown resin of the branches. All materials are cut and sawn with a chisel, and the opposing materials are made of the same wood. I also used flat branches to let the audience experience the strength of the resin, so that they could feel the longevity of it. There is also a record that Susanoo once said that he would use cypress to build a palace, so I expressed the structure of the chair as a pillar and beam of a building and exhibited it in the form of a chair. I made it over the New Year holidays by splitting and processing the branches and wood with hand tools, so it has a prototype feel, but I think it has the ruggedness and cuteness of a first chair. The plan for the interior of the store was structured as a nested structure, with columns and beams hung within the space, and the pillars that fall from them were used as visual boundaries to break up the interior space. Aiming for a fusion of French and Japanese styles, we combined octagonal cedar columns with a marble ceiling and French heribone flooring. The facade features custom-made Kyo Karakami paper and HOSOO Nishijin-ori textiles for the windows. The main display of jewelry is on a broken and polished Ropposeki stone pedestal, representing how gemstones are dug out of the earth, polished, and finished. The showroom is usually open by appointment only, but visitors will be able to see inside during the pre-opening on November 20.
