たまに忘れてしまいそうになりますが、四季は二十四節気に、さらにそこから七十二候まで細かく分けることができます。確かに自然をみると、5日位の単位で細かく状態が変わっていく。蕾から花になったり、新芽が開いたり、そんな変化を感じられる単位でしょう。 2/28-3/4あたりは「草木萠動」といわれ、その名の通り草木が芽吹きだし春の訪れを感じる時期。昨日から突如として暖かくなり、この候がしっくりくる方もいるのではないでしょうか。明日は桃の節句。徐々に感じる春の風や植物の移り変わり。新たな一年の始まりにときめく。何気なく通過してしまう健気な季節のサイクルも七十二侯と照らし合わせてみれば、解像度が高くなり楽しみが増えそうです。

クラフトサケ with在来スパイス&ハーブ。Limited sale ending on 2/23. The first collaboration with @ine.to.agave , please access to their instagram page and get it:) 稲とアガベと草木研究所の最初のクラフトサケ。今回は、中の植物について詳しくお届けします。花よもぎ：よもぎは日本人と最も生活において密接であった植物といっても過言ではなく、チンキ等をつくり消毒にしたり、湿布のように傷口にあてたり、はたまた南方では肉と煮込むときの匂い消しで使ったり、島根ではもひとり神事で神に奉納する草として使われてきた。よもぎというと日本人は新芽をよく使い、餅にも新芽をつかってきましたが、香りの点ではよもぎの花が一推しだ。西洋ハーブにも劣らぬそのフローラルさとハーブ感はたまらなく魅力的。今回はその中でも北海道の厳しい寒さと乾燥する内陸の気候によって立ち枯れした花よもぎを選びました。カヤ：木部は高級材として、果実からは油を抽出し、種は和製アーモンドと呼ばれ食用になる、余すところなく使えるカヤは日本の在来種。葉部位も多く油分を含み、その油分はグレープフルーツのような爽やかな香りがする。カヤの実には戦場のけがれを清浄なものにする力があるといわれ供えられたりもした。今回は福島県のカヤの枝葉部を使用した。青文字の実：クスノキ科特有のリナロール香が強く、黒文字の近縁種でもある。日本で青文字と呼ばれるが中国では木姜子、台湾では馬告と呼ばれ、スパイシーな料理の調味料スパイスとして親しまれる存在である。日本では九州エリアに目立って生息し、今後の活用が期待されるスパイスの木だ。その香りは山椒とレモングラスを混ぜたような清涼感と鼻を抜けるスパイシー感がある。今回は宮崎県のを使用。 . . . #クラフトサケ #稲とアガベ #日本草木研究所 #在来種 #在来スパイス #在来ハーブ #foraging #forager #sake #craftsake #japanesesake #japanesespice #nativespice #bushtucker #野草 #薬草 #アオモジ

あけましておめでとうございます。新年といえば年賀状ですがハガキの由来といわれる”タラヨウの葉”は、厚みがあり裏面を尖ったもので傷をつけると、その部分が黒く変色し文字が浮かび上がる特性があります。この特徴を活かし戦国時代には葉を使った情報のやり取りがあったらしい。タラヨウは別名「ハガキノキ」と呼ばれる一方、ハガキ以外の用途もあるそう。たとえば占い。まるで甲羅のひび割れから占う亀トのように、タラヨウの葉を火であぶる占いがありました。熱で破壊された組織が短時間のうちに黒く変色し、黒い円のような模様が浮かび上がり、これを円紋あるいは死環といい、寺社で吉凶を占う際に用いられたそうです。その為神社や寺に植えられていることもしばしば。元旦の本日は、ハガキにまつわるタラヨウを紹介じした。タラヨウはお茶としても飲めるそうで、中国では腎疾患の漢方として効能が確かめられています。今年もよく語る草木研をよろしくお願いいたします。 . . . #日本草木研究所　#植物のある暮らし #植物のある生活 #野草 #薬草 #伝統 #野草好きな人と繋がりたい #里山 #ハガキ #日本文化 #ハーブのある暮らし #漢方薬 #漢方茶 #和漢 #薬膳 #暮らしの道具 #暮らしの知恵 #年賀状 #年賀状デザイン

みなさま、今年も日本草木研究所の活動を見守ってくださりありがとうございました。今年は自社商品の開発販売以外にも活動内容を広げた一年でした。春はシェフ向けの草木産直便をサービス化し、夏は初めてのコラボ商品として中川政七商店とプロダクト発表をおこない、秋は国内メーカーに対して山の自生種を業務用として初めて納品させていただきました。山が眠り仕込みの時期であるたった今は、春に向けて栽培の計画を練っています。山採りがメインの我々でしたが、継続的に安定共有する種類については山での栽培を始めようとしております。沢山の展開があった2024年。まだお伝えできておりませんが、他にも多くの種を蒔いた一年となり、来年多種多様のニュースを伝えできることをとても楽しみにしています。今年最後の投稿は松結び。松の木は常に青々としていることから不老長寿の象徴といわれ、「健康」や「長寿」と言った願いが込められている結びです。皆様良いお年をお迎えくださいませ。
