如是我聞、という言葉を不意に思い出す。藤堂さんは究極的にはもうガラスを挟まずに石のままでも良いくらいなんだ、この姿で何日でも楽しめる、と言う。つまりこのガラスというのは「私はこのように見た」という記しであって、それは定まったフォーマットにより一つだけその作品にあるのが正しいということになる。藤堂さんの制作は人間の足跡の刻まれた石をキュレーションする行為と言ったほうが正確なのかもしれない。ガラスはその屈折率から光を全反射するため内部は無限に拡張するもうひとつの現実が存在するかのような表現になる。私はこのように見た、を敢えて明示せず青緑色のアモルファスの中に封じ込める様式。さて、あなたはこの瓦礫の中に何を見るのでしょうか。 Mr. Todo says that he would be happy to leave the stone without the glass in truth, and can enjoy it in this form for many days. In other words, the glass is a statement of "thus I saw," and there should be only one sign of glass in the work, in a fixed format. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that Mr. Todo's work is an act of curating a stone with human footprints engraved on it. Because of its refractive index, glass reflects all light, so the interior of the work becomes an expression as if there is another reality that expands infinitely. "Thus I saw"-- but he dares not specify. A style of enclosing this in a blue-green amorphous material.
