Maraini2024/02/09に公開0.67%91815『ENDO』第1巻は本日発売です！ 2020年11月にフォスコの本を読み始めた。 2021年8月にネームを描き始めた。 2021年11月にマライーニの家族と初めて話して 実話を書く事にした。 2022年4月にネーム描き終えて連載が決定した。 2022年11月に長期に渡った権利交渉を終え、 やっと契約を結んだ。 2023年1月連載開始。 そして今日2023年11月17日、 やっと単行本の第1巻が発売。 長い長い旅でしたが、 この企画ができて漫画が描けて、 本当にありがたいです。 既に読んで頂いている方、 これから読んで頂ける方、 みなさまに心から感謝致します。 November 2020, I began reading Fosco Maraini’s books; August 2021, I started storyboarding the story; November 2021, I got in contact with Fosco’s granddaughter Mujah, and decided to write a non-fiction; April 2022, finished writing the storyboard and the manga was confirmed; November 2022, after a long negotiation we finally signed the contracts for the adaptation; January 2023, Endo series began on Manga One; And finally today, Volume 1 gets published in Japan! Through his words I realised how little I knew about this country and how much I needed to learn about myself in the first place. It took me two years between researching, studying and negotiating the rights to develop it, but I was eventually given the honor and privilege to adapt to manga the life story of Fosco Maraini, who together with his wife Topazia Alliata and their three children Dacia, Yuki and Toni, were interned in a prison camp near Nagoya during WWII. Working on this project has been not only a culturally improving experience for me, but also a spiritual journey that reshaped me.
