旅行で沖縄に来たが、実は親族を探しに来てもいるとの事。 家長の祖父が日本人ではあるはずなのだが、 今帰仁の人だったとの情報のみで、 今は住所も連絡先もわからず。 その祖父を探しに、 何十年も前の写真を持って家族で沖縄へ。 地元の方に年配の方々が集まる場所を聞けば何か手がかりが掴めるかもしれないと思い、通訳しながら親子に伝えた。 その後親族は見つかったのだろうか？ 東京に戻ってからも気にはなっていたが、 先日、「残念ながら、なんの手がかりもつかめなかったよ」と、父親からメッセージが届いた。 それを読み、なんだかとても寂しい気持ちになったが、 続けて書かれた言葉には、こうあった。 「けれども、祖父の居たであろう場所の空気を知れて、家族と美しい夕陽の中海を歩け、そしてその瞬間を写真に残せてもらえたのだから、幸せだ」 素敵な家族だ。 いつの日か、 ・ ・ 昨年10月、 熊野那智大社 世界遺産登録20周年記念 能舞台奉納公演 「神武」を撮影させて頂きました。 当初、飛瀧神社境内、御瀧前での公演予定でしたが、 天候が雨のため、急遽、本殿前礼殿での公演に。 しかし、瀧の神様だからなのか、 その雨のおかげで地面が濡れて、水鏡のように。 能楽の野外公演を初めて拝見させて頂きましたが、 夜公演と雨が相まって、 荘厳さと共に艶のある空間になり、 「パーントゥ」 ・ ・ 写真は、CP＋2025FUJIFILMブースでのトークショーにおいて初公開させて頂きました、世界無形文化遺産の「パーントゥ」です。 宮古島の島尻地区で行われるご神事で、奇祭として昨今有名になって来ている祭祀です。昨年、公式撮影させて頂きました。パーントゥは、旧暦9月上旬の2晩 17時～20時に、厄払いの神として、キャーン（シイノキカズラ）というつた草をまとい、「ンマリガー」と呼ばれる井戸の底に溜まった泥を全身に塗って現れ、集落を回って誰彼かまわず人や家屋に泥を塗りつけて周り、無病息災、退魔を祈る祭祀です。 数百年続くこの祭祀なのですが、昨今、心無いクレームなどもあり、開催すら危ぶまれた時もありながら、それでも島尻地区の人々の努力により、継承し続けている伝統文化です。 「Photo Book」 ・ ・ ・ 今年のCP＋2025では、 FUJIFILM CREATEさんのブースにおいて、ART BOOK(オリジナルフォトブック)の展示もさせて頂いておりました。 昨年.新しくデザイン作成したものです。 前回は、読み物として、雑誌のようなデザインで、コラム的な文章やギミックもふんだんに盛り込んで作成したのですが、今回は、冒頭以外殆ど文字は無し。 純粋にフォトブック的な内容にマイナーチェンジ。 とはいえ、個人的にはとてもお気に入りです。 昨年のヒカリエの時の参考展示用、個人のポートフォリオ用に作成したのですが、有り難い事に、展示後、購入希望者の方もいらっしゃいました。 改めてこちらでも内容を何ページかご紹介させて頂きます。 ・サイズ: A4超 ・全42ページ で、Zineのような仕上がりで、 写真自体も大きく掲載しております。 CP＋2025、FUJIFILMブースにて、ポートレートワークショップにご参加頂きました皆様、ありがとうございました。 「Sallu式 モデルを活かす演出術」というテーマのもと、予約満員にてワークショップを行わせて頂きました。 ご応募頂きました皆様、心より御礼を申し上げます。 ありがとうございました！ 今回のワークショップ、実は開催直前まで内容を変更しながら、いかにして参加者見学者の皆様に伝わる内容にしてゆけるかと考えていました。 というのも、今回、写真の構図や光といった形の演出ではなく、被写体の心をどう変化させていくか、また、どのように指示する事で被写体の表情や感情を自然な形で引き出していくかがメインの講義内容だったので、その在り方を体感して頂く事に意味があると思ったからです。 魅力的かつ活きた人物。 静止画の中でも、動いて感じる人物。 これらを完全演出の上で、 モデルさんにどのように指示してゆくか、 そして、どのようにモデルさんと写真として創っていくか。 言葉で説明する事も可能ですが、1番はモデルさんとの向き合い方や演出を見て頂いて直接体感してもらう事が要だろうと、モデルさんとも内容を決めず、即興でセッションさせてもらいました。 自分がポートレート撮影をするにあたっては、 一つの理念があります。 それは、撮影した写真を見た方が、 「これ、撮ったの誰？」と写真や写真家を感じるのではなく、 「これ、写ってるの誰？」と人物の魅力を感じてもらう事です。 つまり、主題は写真ではなく、写っている人物の存在。それが残せたら、自分にとってのポートレートは、一つの課題点をクリアといった感じです。 そんな風に思うのも、自分が20代の頃は表で演じる側にいたからかもしれません。そして、その後、俳優やモデルの演技講師、脚本や演出を行っていたからかもしれません。 ですので、今回のワークショップは、映画やドラマ、舞台などの演出にとても近かったと思います。 写真の美しさ(強さ)に被写体のモデルが覆われてしまうのではなく、被写体のモデルが、写真を美しく(強く)している。 ・ ・ CP＋2025、昨日大盛況のうちに、無事終了となりました。今回はFUJIFILMブースにて、トークショーとポートレートワークショップの講師、およびフォトブックの展示として参加させて頂きました。 非常に多くの来場者の中、FUJIFILM10選として写真の話をトークショーでお話させて頂いたり、ワークショップ講師として、俳優および演技の講師経験による人物の魅力の引き出し方/演出方法を、参加者/モデルさんに体験して頂きながら講義させて頂きました。 どちらも非常に多く方にお集まり頂けた中で行えた事は、とても嬉しく、感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。 改めまして、CP＋2025、ご来場頂きました皆様、ワークショップに予約ご参加頂きました皆様、ありがとうございました！ ＊写真は、トークショーにおいて初公開させて頂きました、世界無形文化遺産の一つで、「パーントゥ・サトゥプナハ」という宮古島の島尻地区で行われるご神事です。奇祭として昨今有名になって来ている祭祀ですが、昨年、公式撮影させて頂きました。パーントゥは、旧暦9月上旬の2晩 17時～20時に、厄払いの神として、キャーン（シイノキカズラ）というつた草をまとい、「ンマリガー」と呼ばれる井戸の底に溜まった泥を全身に塗って現れ、集落を回って誰彼かまわず人や家屋に泥を塗りつけて周り、無病息災、退魔を祈る祭祀です。 数百年続くこの祭祀なのですが、昨今、心無いクレームなどもあり、開催すら危ぶまれた時もありながら、それでも島尻地区の人々の努力により、継承し続けている伝統文化です。 「神峯山寺」 ・ 大阪高槻に在ります、天台宗 神峯山寺。 年初めの寅の日に行われるお正月行事「初寅会」において、大護摩、火渡り行事を撮影させて頂きました写真の続きです。 神峯山寺は、日本最初の毘沙門天安置の霊場としても知られ、1300年以上の歴史を持つ古刹です。 厄除け毘沙門不動護摩行、山岳修験者、紅葉や新緑、初詣の名所としても有名で、かつては皇族勅願所でもあった由緒あるお寺です。 「Rebirth」 ・ ・ ・ 全ては破壊と再生を繰り返し、 再誕生し続ける。 ・ ・ ・ 何年か前の写真。 沖縄にて、ソテツの群生地を歩いていた。 立ち止まるつもりも、撮影するつもりもなかったのだけれど、何故か立ち止まり横を振り向くと、 不死鳥の子供がこちらを見ていた。 他のソテツ同様、群生の中にただ在ったのだけれど、 自分には、不死鳥にしか見えなかった。 何枚かシャッターを切った。
