標高は1,565mからスタートし、2,888mまで1,333mを駆け上がりました 下りももっと大変で、登ってきた分を駆け下ります 途中、足首を左２回、右１回軽く捻ってしまい 更には左のふくらはぎを吊りかけました 更に山の上は気温が4°Cしかなく、途中雹(ひょう)や雨も降る始末 正直登りの2,600mあたりで心が折れそうになりましたが なんとか完走することができました… 本当にキツかったです ちょっと遅れましたが、GWのご報告です！ 今年のGWはほとんど勉強と編集でしたが、ある日は北京の山でトレイルランニングに挑戦してきました。 「トレイルランニング（通称：トレラン）」とは、舗装されていない山道や林道、自然の小道を走るアウトドアスポーツ。単に走るだけでなく、景色や空気を全身で感じながら楽しめるのが魅力です⛰️ この中国でのトレランは、北京に駐在されている方やそのご家族の日本人グループのサークルが主催してくれているもので、今回は駐在されている社会人の方々やそのお子さんなど、さまざまな方が参加していました。 今回のコースは、明代の城跡「長峪城」の登山コース。 北京市内から車で約90分ほどの場所にあり、自然豊かなエリアです。 サークルは初級者向けと中級者向けに分かれていて、 - 初級者コースは舗装された登山道約10kmをハイキング - 中級者コースは険しい未舗装の登山道17kmを駆け上がり駆け降りる本格トレラン 僕はトレラン初体験でしたが、経験者の方に「ハーフマラソン走れるなら大丈夫だよ。一緒に行こう」と背中を押され、中級者コースに挑戦しました。 未舗装の登山道をジョギングで駆け上がり、 緑がどんどん濃くなってきた5月の雄大な自然を全身で感じながら、万里の長城の一部や城跡が待ち受ける山頂へ。約1000mを駆け上りました🏃♂️ 頂上は風が強すぎましたが、そのぶん雲がない晴天で開けた視界から大きく伸びる長城の姿をしっかり眺めることができました。 毎回思うのは、いったいどうやってこんな山奥に大きな石の建造物を築いたのかという、先人たちへの畏敬の念です。中国に来た際はぜひ万里の長城でこの感動を体感してほしいです。 下り道はスリル満点で、どこに足を置くか常に頭をフル回転させながらアドレナリン全開で駆け降りました。 途中、風で飛ばされた帽子も帰り道に無事回収！(笑) 大家好！みなさんご無沙汰してます！BO-HUIです。 4年次の大きなテストも無事終わり、日本の新年度から編集だけでなくInstagram投稿＆ストーリーを頑張ろうと意気込んでおります！🔥 そして、新年度第1回目の投稿は…ハーフマラソン完走のご報告です！ 4月20日(日)、中国銀行主催の北京ハーフマラソンに参加。応募総数16万9879人の中、なぜか2万人に当選してしまい走る羽目に笑 人生初マラソン大会応募→初当選→初完走と“初めて”づくしの貴重な経験になりました。 4月初めの大きなテスト勉強で2ヶ月ほぼ走れていなかったので当日はドキドキ… でも結果は21.0975km完走！ タイム1時間57分52秒で見事“2時間切り”をクリア！ 平均ペースは5分35秒/kmでした🏃♂️ 天安門に始まり、北京オリンピックが開かれた国家体育館（通称鳥の巣）まで、北京の歴史ある街を南から北に駆け抜けるのはとても楽しかったです！ ユニフォームは、会場で配られたあとに名前をプリントしてくれたんですが、人気の“I”の文字が足りなくなってしまい…“BO-HUI”がまさかの“BO-HU”に！ まあ、「これも中国らしいか」と寛大な心で許すことにします😅 ランニングを始めたのは2020年のコロナ禍。最初は1〜3km走るだけだったのが、だんだん距離が伸びて体力も自信もアップ。スピード走にも挑戦しながら、長距離の楽しさに気づきました。 その集大成、ひとつの通過点として北京ハーフマラソンに参加できたのは本当に貴重な経験でした！ ちなみに中国では5月だけで57個のマラソン大会が開かれるそうで…多すぎ！？笑 今振り返っても、この時は本当にしんどかったです。正直死にかけてました。カメラを回していなければ、あそこまで頑張れていなかったかもしれませんし、テストも諦めてしまっていたかもしれません。 テストを受けられないと単位を落としてしまうことは確定です。この教科は必修科目なので、もし受けられなければ留年と共に1年後の受験になっていました。ですので発熱した後、試験官の先生に相談して、教室で他の生徒と関わらずに受験することを条件に受験を許可して頂きました… 今は無事受けられてホッとしています… 試験前日も勉強を頑張るつもりだったのですが、あまりにもしんどくて、友人に付き添ってもらい病院に行くことを決意。インフルエンザ新薬のゾフルーザを処方していただきました。 その後、病院から帰ってきて勉強を頑張るつもりだったのですが、思ったより疲れていました。一眠りしようとベッドに入ったら、5時間ほどぐっすり寝てしまいました😨 もう勉強は間に合いません。幸いにもこの教科は期末試験もあり、成績評価が半分ではあったので、心持ちとしては「期末の自分に頑張ってもらおう」と思ってました(笑) 幸いにも薬はすぐ効いてきて身体は楽になってきたので、勉強を再開。ちゃんと勉強出来たのはこの時から、試験日当日と合わせて12時間もありませんでした。 試験はこれまでの知識と最後詰め込んだものを出し切りましたが、手応えは全くありませんでした(笑)。ですが、なんとか乗り越えることができました。 受験もそうですが、人生には踏ん張り時って必ずあると思います。その時に自分の身体の限界値近くまで、どれだけ踏ん張って頑張れるか(壊しちゃダメです)。これって結構大事だと思ってます。そのためにも日頃から自分の限界に挑戦していく事で、いざという時にパワーを出せるのかなって思ってます。今回も限界値に挑戦することになりました。Plus Ultraですね(プルスウルトラ:ヒロアカ好きです！)
