Happy National Tweed Day! To mark this day, we will spotlight the Triona Donegal Tweed Visitor Centre (@trionadesign), on Main Street in Ardara, County Donegal. It is a family run heritage experience that offers visitors the opportunity to learn about the ancient art of hand weaving. The centre welcomes all who visit and offers the opportunity to experience the history, skill, and craft that has gone into hand weaving Donegal tweed for generations. In 1984, 10 years after the collapse of the local tweed industry, Dennis Mulhern, a fifth generation hand weaver founded Triona as a small bespoke tweed company in the front room of his Ardara family home. As the Mulhern family business expanded, The Mart, which had historically been the central marketplace where local tweed was produced, inspected, stored and sold, became the new home of Triona. Today, the #Ireland's national tour guide @naokoguide introduces attractiveness of #Inishmore. ￣￣￣ You can tour Inishmore by minibus, horse-drawn carriage, bicycle, or on foot. At the customer's request, we enjoyed touring the island in a horse-drawn carriage. The carriage is perfect for rain and wind. The customer also took the reins and played a big role! The journey would have taken about 20 minutes by minibus, but we spent about an hour being rocked in the carriage while taking in the island's scenery. We spent some time relaxing at the island's most popular tourist attraction, the cliff-top Dun Aengus. We had lunch at Teach Nan Phaidi, a cafe at the foot of the cliffs. #アイルランド公認ツアーガイドの山下直子さん (@naokoguide) のブログより、#ゴールウェイの #天然牡蠣をご紹介🦪 ￣￣￣ 9月になると出回る、ゴールウェイ（Galway）の天然 #牡蠣。アイルランドでは太平洋産の養殖牡蠣は通年食べることができますが、ゴールウェイ周辺にのみ牡蠣床が残る土着のヨーロッパヒラガキは、9月～4月しか食べられません。 #ヒラガキを目指してゴールウェイ・シティから車で30分程、牡蠣床により近いモランズ・オイスター・コテージ（Morans Oyster Cottage, Kilcolgan, Co. In Ireland, farmed oysters from the Pacific Ocean can be eaten all year round, but the indigenous European flat oyster, whose oyster beds remain only around Galway, can only be eaten from September to April. In search of flat oysters, we drove about 30 minutes from Galway City to #MoransOysterCottage, Kilcolgan, Co. Galway, which is closer to the oyster beds. The taste is wild and #refreshing, different from the creamy taste of rock oysters. 😋 A quaint #thatchedroof #restaurant. In 1985, the Emperor and Empress Emerita visited Ireland, and photos of that visit are still displayed inside the restaurant.
