It’s already been a month since CIGS2025… But I’m excited to finally share that starting this month, my cold designer drink I created for the competition will be available at Kahii bar! . . 𝐁𝐄𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐈𝐏𝐒 . Brandy / Sandalwood-infused Rum / @giffard_australia Triple Sec / @monin_australia Elderflower Syrup / Decaf Coffee . . I have a dream — I'd like to enjoy amazing coffee cocktails with everyone in the world. At the bar where I work, our concept is classic cocktails, coffee cocktails, and tea cocktails. I as a barista, I often recommend coffee cocktails to guests, but sometimes they can't drink — saying caffeine keeps them up at night. . So I thought… what if I use decaf coffee? That simple idea was the starting point for this drink. . When creating new cocktails, I’ve learned how important it is to understand the classics. That’s why for this drink, I created a twist on the nightcap cocktail, "𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬" using decaf coffee. . Last time I competed at CIGS2023, I received feedback that my cocktail was a bit too strong in alcohol 😉 hehehe So this time, I did a live milk wash on stage to create a smoother, more easy to drink. . The original cocktail is typically shaken, so i choose to stay true to that style. And also, I’d read a book that shaking a milk-washed cocktail creates a silky foam — and I incorporated that as a bartending technique during my presentation. . . I hope many people will enjoy it.
