． ． 【企画展】 Exhibition Persian carpets & Kilim Exhibition 誰から買うか？ そのようなワードが呟かれる時代となった近年。 私達が絨毯の仕入れをしているのが、シャディベアの久子さん(通称チャコ) チャコと店主の出逢いはかれこれ28年前のイギリス。 チャコはロンドンのサザビーズ(オークション)スクールで学び、私はインテリアデザインの学びを胸に語学学校に通っていた、互いに若く可愛いかった二十歳頃。笑 その頃からも、時折彼女は「イランに行ってくる」と、お母さんの手伝いで絨毯の買い付けに行っていました。 いつも笑顔で責任感と面倒見の良い彼女には、イギリスでは沢山助けてもらいました。 あの頃、将来を語りあってた私達。 「いつかチャコが絨毯屋を継ぎ、私がインテリアショップを開いたらその絨毯を扱いたいね」と。 その後それぞれの道を歩み、時が過ぎ、数年後にたまたま再会した私達。 チャコは絨毯の卸会社を、私はインテリアショップでは無かったけれど、実家のギャラリーで彼女の絨毯展を開くようになりました。これを続けてかれこれ17,8年。 不思議な縁です。 ． ． 【企画展】 Exhibition Persian carpets & Kilim Exhibition 私(店主)が初めて出会ったペルシャ絨毯です。 あの頃は20代でした。その時の私(いや今も！)にとって「清水の舞台からジャンプ」とはこの事でした。朱と濃紺のボテデザインに魅入り、歴史を知り感動して持ち帰った一枚でした。 デスクの傍らに敷き ある時期はリビングに敷いたり 寝室に敷いたり 【Up coming Exhibition】 3/1&2は「ATTARAMON展」 栃木で今刺激的で面白いことをしている人といえば この方、青柳徹氏もその一人でしょう。 ブランディングデザイナーとして企業、行政、個人店等、様々な業種形態でブランディング・グラフィックデザインを手掛けている。 あくまで店主の見方では、青柳さんの魅力は'時代と逆向する'ところ。(笑良い意味で) 先端をゆく、いわゆる時代に乗った'今'をデザインすることをしない。 端的に云えば、宣伝媒体・雑誌に見かける万人に向けたデザインではない。だから人々が振り向き、彼のデザインの前で立ち止まり興味を持つのかもしれない。 '栃木の郷土料理 しもつかれ'は独特の見た目や香りに好き嫌いがはっきりと分かれる。(店主は子供の頃から好物派) 作る家庭も減り継承が危ぶまれていた。 青柳氏は7年前に個人的なワークとして'しもつかれ'に着目し「世界に誇れる郷土料理にしたい」と、「しもつかれブランド会議」を発足、魅力発信をスタートした。 今では商品開発を含め、街、団体、企業を巻き込み、その波が多方面へと広がり続けている。 今展では、 冬の余り食材で作るしもつかれはサステナブルでこれからにふさわしい料理。 発酵食品として栄養価も高く、人にも環境にも優しい郷土料理 【お礼】 Thank you for KOCHU-NO UTSUWA Exhibition 3rd & Thank you for 13th Anniversary 撤収作業を終え、最後に床間の掛軸を外す前の光景。 -宴の後- 無事に壺中のうつわ三を終了いたしました。 ご来場の皆様、オンラインを気に留めて頂いた皆さま、誠にありがとうございました。 そして今月はHANNAの13周年を迎えました。 相変わらず目の前の事でひとり手一杯、周年を過ぎて 静かな空間を見て、我に返りしみじみ思い起こしています。 震災すぐ後 「地方でギャラリーなんて止めておいた方がいい」と聴きながら、始めたこの場所。 とにかく意地とがむしゃらに走り続けた数年でした。 こんなポンコツな店主でも、添ってもらえるお客さん、作家さん、支えてくれるスタッフのお陰でここまできています。 改めて深く深く感謝申し上げます。
