Soundsといったハードコア・レーベルから12"レコードを発表。アニメ、ゲーム、映画からサンプリングされた日本語を多用した重く歪んだシリアスかつユーモアのある日本独自のハードコア・スタイルを開拓し、日本のハードコア・テクノ/ガバ・シーンに多大な影響を与える。 レコードのリリースだけではなく、国内外のハードコア・テクノの情報を扱った伝説的なフリーペーパー『裏口入学'83』の発行や雑誌『Quick Japan』での執筆、ミックス・テープ専門レーベルであるHillpoint 417の運営などを通じて多層的にハードコア・テクノの魅力を伝えていた。 1998年2月20日に新宿LIQUID ROOMにて開催されたGABBER STORMでのライブを最後にHAMMER BROSとしての活動を休止。以降、ディスコやハウスをハードコア解釈したKAK-A SHADOW AUGUSTA/KAK-A
