I carefully reshaped the rim through repeated fine adjustments so that both the curve and the thickness feel seamless to the touch. This request came from Sweden, from someone who wanted to give it as a gift for her husband’s birthday. I hope he was pleased with it. It was repaired with pure gold powder (marufun). I had actually completed the repair once about a month ago, but wasn’t satisfied with how the base layer beneath the joint turned out. So I removed the gold and redid everything from scratch. It felt like a waste at the time—but I’m really happy with how it came out in the end. 昨年の秋の阿蘇旅行で訪れた馬肉料理店の好信楽さんで晩酌をしている時に、オーナーの方からその場で酒器の修理をご依頼いただき、そのまま持ち帰って金継ぎしたという、あまり経験したことのないルートでの修理でした。（初めてお会いしたにも関わらず、大切な酒器をお預けいただきありがとうございました！） 最初は欠けのみかと思っていましたが、よく見ると内側にヒビが走っていたのでそちらも併せて修理しました。
