That day was their first time acting in a commercial, and also the first time Wan-Ji had to “drive Sho-Er.” A little story — Wan-Ji often teaches his grandson how to drive, but in fact, he hasn’t driven since he was discharged from the army, and he’s never driven Sho-Er anywhere before. When we took on this project, I had only one goal: to let Sho-Er take the chance to “kháu-sué” (tease) Wan-Ji in Taiwanese. I think that’s pretty romantic. “Craftsmanship Team” comes from Grandpa’s favorite saying — after all, what matters most in laundry is skill. This isn’t our daily uniform. Three years ago, Grandma, Dad, and my brother had birthdays close together, so we made this “family shirt” just for us. That year’s birthday photo of all five of us turned out to be our very last photo together. We’ve opened a new laundry shop in Taipei, giving Wan-Ji more opportunities to go out and about in Taipei, train new employees, and turned Wan-Ji and Sho-Er into cute illustrations. Perhaps Sho-Er grandma has passed away, but we’re trying to keep Sho-Er alive in our hearts through these means. Many friends have come from different places to pay their respects to Grandma Sho-Er's spirit and keep Grandpa Wan-Ji company. We are deeply grateful. However, during the sorrowful mourning period, it has been challenging to respond to every expression of concern and there may have been lapses in hospitality.
