ad If you’re looking for neutrals that bring warmth to a space, let me introduce you to Weekender {here on walls!} & Out of Office {on woodwork} by @coatpaints 🤎 This south-east facing room doesn’t get a huge amount of natural light with only one window (particularly the bookcase along the back!) so I needed a combination that was light but gentle, and I can’t tell you the difference it has made {I’ve taken pictures at different times of the day and with/without lights on so you can see the variance!} ‘Weekender’ has a pretty plaster-like tone - nothing too overwhelming or try hard, & ‘Out of Office’ is a stony pink-beige which avoids anything too candy or orange. They have satisfied my desire for something traditional and warm - proof that neutrals can be full of charm, especially in lower light! ad Welcome to my north-east facing dining, kitchen room where we have cool, calm light for most of the day especially at this time of year! I’ve been looking the perfect colour for this cupboard that would bring the warmth and depth I love injecting without overpowering the space. Something that will help me decide upon the kitchen makeover colours! This is ‘Big Hoops’ by @coatpaints and it’s exactly what I wanted ~ soft, cocooning and quietly bold. I selected it to go alongside the fabrics, textures and tones already in the room & it’s just the most GORGEOUS colour whatever the time of day. ad Working with @habitatuk to help me make more of our slightly awkward front hallway has been so fun! Over the last few months, Alexa and I have been quietly reshaping how we work, and what we want this studio to stand for. Client projects have been such a joy, but we’ve also learnt that bigger isn’t always better. The pressure of large-scale work left little room for the creativity and balance we value most. So we’re moving in a new direction - one that gives more space to the parts we love: layered design schemes, thoughtful colour palettes, and artwork that helps bring depth and feeling to a space. We’re also returning to the creative roots of this platform - photography, storytelling, and working with brands we trust and admire. From now on, we’ll be managing all collaborations in-house, to build more thoughtful, long-term partnerships. I’ll still be offering one-to-one consultations, but the work ahead will be slower, more intentional and, we hope, more accessible for more people. We can’t wait to share more soon.
